2025 Fantasy Outlook
Zegras was limited to 57 appearances last season due to knee surgery and a three-game suspension. The 24-year-old started slow, but over his final 33 outings, Zegras registered eight goals and 22 points while averaging 2:27 of power-play ice time per game. Injuries have been a concern over the last two years, but the 2019 No. 9 overall selection has plenty of upside, as evidenced by his 61 and 65-point seasons in 2021-22 and 2022-23, respectively. He was dealt to the Flyers in the offseason, giving him an opportunity for a fresh start. The crafty forward won’t provide much in non-scoring categories, but if he can stay healthy, Zegras is talented enough to earn his first 70-point season, especially if he lands a role with the No. 1 power-play unit. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Zegras have a breakout year ahead of restricted free agency next summer. Read Past Outlooks
Nets lone goal in loss
Zegras scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Hurricanes in Game 3.
ANALYSIS
Zegras' tally tied the game at 1-1 early in the second period, but that was all Frederik Andersen would give up. The 25-year-old Zegras snapped a four-game point drought with the goal. He's earned two goals, three assists, 12 shots on net, 22 hits, 26 PIM and an even plus-minus rating over nine outings in a top-six role this postseason.

Anyone that rolled the dice on Zegras in fantasy leagues last season paid for it in a major way. He missed more than five weeks early in the season with a lower-body injury and then suffered an ankle ailment which required surgery late in the year. All told, Zegras appeared in 31 games, posting six goals and 15 points. The 23-year-old seems like an obvious bounce-back candidate given his youth and the fact he posted 60-plus points each of the prior two seasons. Keep in mind Zegras' name has been mentioned in countless trade rumors and it wouldn't be the least bit surprising to see him on the move at some point in the not-too-distant future.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Deal not imminent
Zegras and the Flyers are still working on a contract extension, but the two sides aren't close to finalizing the terms and conditions, Kevin Kurz of The Athletic reports Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Zegras recorded six points in 10 postseason contests, following a fantastic regular season in which he racked up 26 goals, 67 points and 23 power-play points, all career highs. The 25-year-old should be capable of once again challenging for the 30-goal and 70-point thresholds next campaign, making him a top-end fantasy target.
