DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Sunday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Sunday's slate officially features eight games, but with one postponement and three early starts, the DraftKings slate only carries four contests: Sixers-Thunder, Jazz-Nuggets, Pelicans-Kings and Pacers-Clippers.

With the first of those games set to tip off at 7:00 PM ET, let's take a look at some players to consider rostering at each position.

Guards

Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Pelicans ($4900) vs. Kings

With no Lonzo Ball (knee), Alexander-Walker should again be set for a larger role. His 20 minutes in Friday's start against the Lakers were a relative disappointment, but his early foul trouble was a contributing factor. He finished that game with only 17.25 DK points, but he showed his ceiling last week with a 37-point, eight-rebound performance in 33 minutes against the Clippers. He probably won't reach those heights Sunday night -- then again, the Kings are the league's worst defense by a wide margin.

Ben Simmons, 76ers ($8600) vs. Thunder

Simmons' scoring totals have been underwhelming this season, but his all-around production remains elite. He has 33 total assists and 32 rebounds over his last three games, and he's finished with 48.5 and 44.5 DK points over his last two outings, respectively. The Thunder haven't been the rebuilding trainweck some expected, but they're still an appealing opponent -- especially without Al Horford patrolling the middle.

Shake Milton, 76ers ($5900) vs. Thunder

Milton has been on fire of late, posting 24, 31 and 28 points over his last three games. He peaked with a 51-DK-point performance in a win over Miami on Thursday, which he finished with 31 points, seven assists, two rebounds, two steals and a block. With Seth Curry (COVID-19) still out, Milton should continue to see elevated opportunity.

Forwards

Zion Williamson, Pelicans ($8100) vs. Kings

Williamson has been somewhat of a disappointment this season, but he's still incredibly prodcutive as a scorer and rebounder. He's coming off of a 21-point, 12-board game against the Lakers on Friday, and he also added a season-high four assists. The ancillary stats will come and go, but Williamson should be able to feast against Marvin Bagley and the Kings' league-worst defense. The Pelicans enter Sunday leading the league in defensive rebounding rate and ranking second behind Utah in offensive rebounding rate.

Bojan Bogdanovic, Jazz ($5500) vs. Nuggets

Bogdanovic's value hinges almost entirely on his shot-making, so he's been something of a boom-or-bust player this season. He's coming off of two strong performances, though, netting 20 points and four threes against the Cavaliers and 17 points and three three-pointers in a win over the Hawks on Friday. The Nuggets rank 25th in defensive rating entering Sunday, and they're one of the league's worst teams at defending the three. On the season, Denver's opponents have hit 38.9 percent of their attempts from deep.

JaMychal Green, Nuggets ($4400) vs. Jazz

Green, of course, does not have the highest ceiling, but that ceiling gets bumped up a bit higher with Michael Porter Jr. (COVID-19) still sidelined. Green played a season-high 28 minutes against Golden State on Thursday, and he put up 27.25 DK points by way of 15 points and nine rebounds. Green is extremely points/rebounds-dependent, but at this price he's worth rostering.

Centers

Domantas Sabonis, Pacers ($9800) vs. Clippers

The Clippers are a good defense that's fared well against big men, but Sabonis is virtually matchup-proof at this point. He's only dipped below 40 DK points once in his last 10 games — a 39.25-DK-point outing against the Knicks — and he's a nightly threat to reach the 60-DK-point plateau. Sabonis is coming off of a 23-point, 15-rebound, five-assist outing against Portland on Thursday. With Sabonis' minutes routinely running into the high-30s, those performances have become fairly routine.

Isaiah Roby, Thunder ($4200) vs. 76ers

Roby's price is up a bit after he was was $3100 in his first start for the injured Al Horford, but even at $4200 he's still one of the better values on the slate. Roby played 26 minutes against Chicago on Friday and posted 14 points, four rebounds and three assists before fouling out. He's not a major shot-blocker or steals contributor, but Roby's passing is a nice supplement to his points/rebounds value.
