2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Maple Leafs had the luxury of keeping a 20-goal scorer on their third line for large portions of the season, though McMann's success mostly came from when he got promoted to a line with Auston Matthews. A lot remains up in the air for McMann's usage in 2025-26, but the more time he can get in the top six, the more likely he is to be a quality depth player in fantasy. He had 34 points in 74 games in 2024-25 and added 169 shots on net and 136 hits, so there's enough non-scoring production to give him a fairly stable floor. His 11.8 shooting percentage wasn't outrageously high either -- he simply needs enough ice time and opportunities with skilled linemates. It wouldn't be a stretch to consider McMann one of the hottest forwards in the NHL of late. He has found the back of the net seven times in his last eight games. Since making his Kraken debut on March 14, McMann has posted seven goals, four assists, 23 shots and 17 hits across eight outings.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
After a handful of seasons toiling in the minors, including stints in the ECHL, McMann was finally able to cement himself as an NHL full-timer this past season. The left-handed winger saw action in 56 regular-season games for the Leafs, including getting some minutes with the top line due to injuries. Along the way, the Alberta native garnered 15 goals on 118 shots and nine assists while also dishing out 117 hits. Unfortunately for the 28-year-old forward, a late-season knee injury prevented him from making his playoff debut. Barring any setbacks, McMann should be ready in time for training camp and figures to slot into a bottom-six role where he figures to challenge for the 20-goal and 40-point thresholds.
