The Skinny

Tiffany Hayes paces the Atlanta offense in 2019, averaging 13.3 points per contest and 16.3 over the last three. Unfortunately, the up-tempo Sky still fare reasonably well against opposing guards, allowing 38.7 points per game (sixth in WNBA). Forwards have fared better overall, with Chicago surrendering the second-most points to the position (28.1 points per game). This could permit a bounce-back game for Elizabeth Williams, who broke a two-game stretch of 17 points each with a disappointing seven-point showing Sunday.

Chicago has hit its stride recently, winning three of its last four contests. The club has tallied no fewer than 72 points in a game during that span and has twice scored 89 or more. Jantel Lavender played a major role in that stretch, collecting 16 or more points in each of the three victories. Atlanta typically prevents opposing centers from racking up big numbers, allowing just 10.6 points and 7.7 boards per game, so that battle could be a key to the contest. Forwards who can rebound have had solid success versus the Dream, averaging a league-best 19.7 rebounds per game. This could position Diamond DeShields for a big day on the boards as she looks to back up her 26-point performance from Sunday's tilt versus the Wings.

The Skinny

Phoenix has been stingy versus opposing bigs this season, but the Mercury have been a bit more vulnerable to opposing guards. Rookie guard Arike Ogunbowale should be primed to oblige, having totaled 20 or more points in three of the last four contests. Allisha Gray should provide a decent amount of support in the backcourt, but Ogunbowale's propensity to shoot the three ball (5.1 attempts per game) should play up versus a Phoenix squad allowing the second-best three-point percentage (35.7) in the league. Given that the game features two teams with the two slowest paces in the league, it will be a contest that will likely feature few fantasy lineup choices.

When looking for production against the Wings, it's best to look to the frontcourt. Opposing guards are averaging a league-low 33.8 points per contest, dampening the outlook of the Mercury backcourt. Fortuantely, the team's star players lie in the frontcourt and may be able to take advantage of the Wings bigs. DeWanna Bonner and Brittney Griner typically combine for 50 or more percent of the team's offensive production, and Bonner in particular has upped her game with three straight 20-point efforts. While it would likely be a contrarian play to spend up for one of Phoenix's stars, the matchup at least works in their favor.

The Skinny

Scoring guards are the players to target against the Lynx, checking in second-best in the league (40.5 points per game) in the category. With Jewell Loyd out of the picture, Jordin Canada fits that bill the best for the Storm. She has tallied nine or more points in each of the last six contests and her nine points Sunday broke a stretch of five straight double-digit outings. Sami Whitcomb provides a deep threat in the backcourt for Seattle, though the Lynx neither shut down nor boost opposing fantasy players depending on that avenue. Defensively inclined guards have also succeeded against Minnesota, averaging a league-high 5.8 thefts. That should fall right in Canada's wheelhouse. She enters the contest having tallied at least three steals in three of the last five games. She recorded three the last time they faced the Lynx (June 4) and trailed just Loyd in scoring in that game.

Sylvia Fowles is in the midst of four straight double-doubles and should have another good opportunity to feast Wednesday. Seattle surrenders the fourth-most points (14.4) and fifth-most rebounds (9.3) while allowing the fifth-best field-goal percentage (50.2) and sporting just a 49.8 rebound percentage. Napheesa Collier may be the best bet to take advantage of the Storm's struggles turning the ball over (19.1 percent of possessions), notching 2.1 steals per contest entering Wednesday.
