The Skinny

Playing with just a day between games, there's a reasonable chance the bench will see a bit more run Sunday than it did during Friday's tilt versus the Wings. Still, Kia Nurse, Tina Charles and Asia Durr are all likely locks to play 30-plus minutes and Brittany Boyd and Reshanda Gray falling not too far behind in that department. If the Liberty were to turn to the bench more, Tanisha Wright, Tiffany Bias and Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe would be the three candidates to potentially see more run. The two clubs sport the two worst defensive ratings in the league, so a high-scoring affair may be on tap. Opposing forwards average league-high or are tied for league-high marks in points (30.0), rebounds (19.2) assists (4.9), steals (2.8) and blocks (2.6), making this a particularly appealing matchup for the likes of Charles and Gray. Opposing backcourts check in among the top four in points, rebounds and assists as well and are tied for first in three-pointers made. Nurse would also fit the mold in that scenario, leading the team in three-pointers made and attempted per game.

New York's defense comes in just as poorly, surrendering a league-worst 47.9 points and 14.5 rebounds to opposing guards. The struggle in particular against slashing guards who can draw contact, surrendering a 11.7 free-throw attempts per game to opposing backcourts. The Dream don't have a player averaging more than three per game, but Tiffany Hayes went to the line more than five times per contest in each of the last three years, so this could serve as a breakout contest for her in the category. Both New York and Atlanta sport a poor 47.9 percent rebound rate, so there may be room for improvement on both side Sunday. Monique Billings and Jessica Breland lead the way in that category for the Dream and are both coming off season-high totals versus the Mystics. Atlanta runs a fairly deep rotation, so there's no guaranteed huge minutes, with not player averaging more than 27 per contest this season, but that may not be a major fantasy detriment in this contest.

The Skinny

On the opposite end of the over/under spectrum, Dallas brings the slowest pace in the league into a matchup with a Lynx squad that ranks in the middle of the pack. Both team's clean up the boards particularly well, so that's a spot where something has to give Sunday. Dallas has been vulnerable to scoring from bigs (26.8 PPG) and particularly ones who head to the charity stripe often (7.3 free-throw attempts by opposing forwards). Napheesa Collier specializes in doing just that, having earned 11 free-throw attempts over the last two games to net a combined 35 points. In a game that shouldn't feature too many daily fantasy picks, she could be a name worth considering. The one thing you can count on from the Lynx is heavy minutes across the board with limited options available. On five days rest, there's a good chance most or all of the five starters will cross the 30-minute mark.

Isabelle Harrison lands squarely in GPP territory for the Wings. She paces the DraftKings budget relief category, but, at the same time, she carries the risk of an ankle injury and a questionable tag. If she plays and her ankle holds up, Harrison could provide some significant value. If not, look for Theresa Plaisance to handle a sizable workload again. Plaisance logged 32 minutes in Friday's game versus New York and could challenge that mark again after posting a double-double. However, the slowed pace will diminish her chances of a repeat in that category. Minnesota alllows opposing guards to score 43 points per game (second in WNBA) and to shoot 35.1 percent from deep (fourth), with opposing guards accounting for 39.5 field-goal attempts (tied for first) per tilt. As it so happens, Arike Ogunbowale is a game removed from back-to-back 20 point efforts and averages a team-high 5.7 three-point attempts per contest.

The Skinny

Being significant underdogs in a high-scoring game takes some of the fantasy shine off of the Sky players. However, the stats tell a somewhat different story. The Sparks enter the contest allowing more than 80 points per contest. The Sparks has specifically struggled against opposing centers and Chicago has a solid one in Jantel Lavender. With Los Angeles owning the second-worst rebound rate and third-worst defensive rebound rate in the league, Lavender, who clears a team-high seven boards per game and has 30 over the last three, could be in for another big showing Sunday.

The Sparks check in with the highest expected point output on the slate and for good reason. Not only does this contest occur on their home court, but it comes against a Chicago team that plays at one of the fastest paces in the league. Chicago has really struggled to guard opposing forwards, allowing a league-high 30.7 points to them. Opposing forwards have also reached the free-throw line more than seven times per contest. Candace Parker may be rounding into for at just the right time for a massive showing Sunday, coming off of an 18-point, nine-rebound effort Thursday against the Aces. Add the Ogwumike sisters and the Sparks have a recipe to exploit Chicago's frontcourt shortcomings.

The Skinny

Essence Carson has benefited most from Yvonne Turner's departure for the EuroBasket tournament, logging 30-plus minutes in two of the last three games. Her 24 in the last contest was likely due to a son tallied 1 of an off shooting night (0-7 FG) and the blowout nature of the game. Carson tallied 11 points in each of the two previous games, so the down contest could provide her with some salary relief for daily purposes. The Storm overall sport a strong defensive profile, owning the seond-best defensive rating, the fourth-best defensive rebound rate and the second-most steals per game. The main position to have success against them this season is the center spot, which works out particularly well for star Phoenix center Brittney Griner. She could prove to be a viable fantasy stud in what's expected to be one of the two lower-scoring contests on the slate.

Phoenix's defensive profile doesn't check out nearly as clean. Their defensive rating sits fourth-worst in the league, likely due, in part, to the team's struggles to clear the defensive glass (65.1 percent). The Mercury have struggled to contain opposing guards with the willingness to rebound and Jordin Canada may fit that role. She's coming off of a six-rebound effort in the team's first game without Jewell Loyd. Opposing guards have also knocked down a league-best 41.1 percent, which could make Sami Whitcomb, who threw up eight three-point attempts last game against the Sky, a viable DFS lineup filler.
