Bernardo Silva
31-Year-Old
Manchester City
Premier
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Silva has often been in rumors to leave City, but his versatility and overall health continue to be important for Pep Guardiola, starting 29 of 33 league appearances last season en route to four goals and four assists. However, with him seeing more time centrally and defensively instead of his normal attacking roles, his eight goal contributions were his worst in a season since joining the club in 2017. This is a bit of a worry entering the season considering the bevy of attacking options at City's disposal. Then again, Silva can play anywhere and technically he can also produce from anywhere. Yet, at 31 years old to open the season, his numbers will start to drop at some point, no matter how important he's been for Guardiola.
Sent off in UCL
Silva received a red card in the 20th minute of Tuesday's Champions League clash against Real Madrid.
ANALYSIS
Silva created a scoring chance during his short time on the pitch, but he ultimately got sent off for committing a penalty kick. This won't force the midfielder to miss any games until the 2026/27 campaign, as his action crushed his team's hopes of advancing in the European competition. He'll look to get back on track in domestic play, where he scored his second goal of the season in his last appearance.

Big doubt against Liverpool
Silva (hamstring) is a big doubt for Sunday's clash against Liverpool, coach Pep Guardiola said in a press conference, according to BeanymanSports. "Yesterday he said to me 'I feel quite good. I want to try'. But I don't know. It's in a position less dangerous than the hamstring, another type of muscle in the hamstring position. But we'll see in the next days. 'Could be OK' is not the words. He's an incredible doubt. He will try, I think so, knowing him, he will try. But right now, I don't know."
