23-Year-Old

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Cherki joined City from Lyon this summer in a move that has much of Europe talking about the possibilities, linking an already prolific goal scorer and ball distributor with an already loaded squad. He expects to take some of the Kevin De Bruyne role, but it's almost impossible to be that direct of a replacement. He recorded 31 goal contributions between Europa League and Ligue 1 play last season and his creative numbers have been compared to the best in Europe. The biggest question in his first season will be if the minutes are consistently available to him. City are deep at every position if everyone stays healthy, and there's no guarantee frequent starts will be available for Cherki.
Eight shots, no goal
Cherki registered eight shots (two on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and two corners in Wednesday's 1-0 win versus Burnley.
ANALYSIS
Cherki was all over the field as he tried to make more happen for City, but was unable to get his name on the scoresheet, as the attacker instead failed to score on eight shots. He would come very close in the first half, although a magnificent save by Martin Dubravka kept the ball out. This does mark a season high for shots in a match for the attacker, although he needs to be a bit more clinical in front of the net.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Lyon reject initial approach
Lyon have rejected Manchester City's offer for Cherki, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Deutschland.
ANALYSIS
Cherki is one of the top targets for Manchester City this summer, and the Citizens are looking to complete a move for the French star before the start of the FIFA Club World Cup. For that to happen, though, City must deliver a better offer since Lyon aren't likely to part ways with their star playmaker easily. Negotiations between the two clubs are expected to continue in the coming weeks.
