2025 Fantasy Outlook
Rodri only had a small sample after an ACL tear left him sidelined for nearly the entire campaign. He returned for the final few games and saw even more time during the Club World Cup, so the thought is that he'll be close to 100 percent for the start of 2025/26. If that's the case and he remains fit, he could hold his usual midfield role the majority of the season with 30-plus starts in play. At his peak a couple years ago, he was frequently involved in goals, totaling eight goals and nine assists. It's hard to see him being near those numbers this season, but as long as he's on the pitch, he'll have the ball near the top of the box and good things usually happen for City in those instances.
Creates three chances Monday
Rodri generated two shots (zero on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and three chances created in Monday's 0-0 draw against Cape Verde.
ANALYSIS
Rodri unsurprisingly started Spain's opening match of the World Cup, completing an elite midfield alongside Fabian Ruiz and Pedri. Rodri is and was the most defensive-minded of the three, though he still had a significant attacking role considering Spain had the vast majority of possession. He created three chances -- a feat he rarely achieved with Manchester City this past season -- and took two off-target shots on the attack. He wasn't asked to do much on the defensive end, but he provided stability on that end as well. He was subbed off in the 87th minute for Nico Williams.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could join Real Madrid
Rodri could join Real Madrid in the summer, according to MARCA.
ANALYSIS
The defensive midfielder has been linked with a move to Los Merengues for quite some time, and the impending departure of Pep Guardiola from the Etihad Stadium would open the door for a deal to happen over the summer. Los Merengues are open to break the bank if that enhances their chances of securing the services of the Spain international.
