Chris Duncan
The Problem

Scotland
No-shows first UFC main event
Duncan lost to Renato Moicano via submission (face crank) at 3:14 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Duncan was competing in his first UFC main event, with Vegas backing him as a slight -145 favorite. Things could not have gone much worse. He had zero answers for the physicality of Moicano, which is concerning on multiple levels. Chris was just never able to get out of first gear. He gets by largely on toughness and determination, and none of that was on display this evening. While Moicano is a talented opponent, he certainly doesn't represent anywhere near the top of the food chain at 155 pounds. The fact Duncan wasn't competitive against him is a major red flag. This is going to be tough for the 32-year-old Scot overcome.

Will take on Moicano
Duncan will take on Renato Moicano in a lightweight bout at UFC Vegas 115 on April 4, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Duncan has been on a tear of late, and he's won four in a row and six of his last seven fights. Facing Moicano is probably the toughest challenge he'll have following that span, but given how good he's been of late, Duncan will certainly have a fair shot at keeping his winning streak alive.

Finds submission after slow start
Duncan defeated Terrance McKinney via submission (anaconda choke) at 2:30 of Round 1 at UFC 323 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
How a fighter looks in a bout against McKinney is irrelevant because he forces every opponent he faces out of his comfort zone. What matters is whether you win or lose, and Dawson found a way to emerge victorious. It didn't come easy. He was blitzed seconds after the opening bell rang and found himself in all kinds of trouble. Just when it looked as if Duncan might be finished, he came roaring back and turned the tables. He forced McKinney to the mat and unloaded countless unanswered blows, but referee Marc Goddard refused to stop the fight despite Terrance clearly being done. It was at that point Duncan switched to the choke. Chris has won four straight and six of seven with the UFC.

Finishes strong in FOTN-winner
Duncan defeated Mateusz Rebecki via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Vegas 108 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
In what was a possible "Fight of the Year" candidate, Duncan landed the bigger shots in the eyes of the judges despite Rebecki winning the significant striking battle 114-to-92 and earning a pair of takedowns. Both were wearing damage in the end, but Rebecki was more compromised by it, with his eye almost completely shut. The two men slugged it out until the end, however, and both will rightfully walk away with a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus. Duncan gets the victory on his record, though, marking his third straight with the company.
