2024 Fantasy Outlook
DeVito enjoyed a brief Cinderella run after taking over for the injured Daniel Jones as the Giants' starting quarterback in Week 10 of the 2023 season, with his most memorable performance being a 246-yard, three-touchdown performance against Washington in Week 11. The glimmer eventually faded, however, and by Week 16 the undrafted 25-year-old had given way to Tyrod Taylor as New York's top signal-caller. Taylor signed with the Jets in the offseason, but Jones is expected to be ready to return for the start of the coming campaign, and the Giants added Drew Lock to presumably take over as their No. 2 QB, so DeVito could begin the season on the practice squad. In line to start Sunday
DeVito is slated to start Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
With the Giants electing to replace Daniel Jones as the team's starting signal-caller, DeVito -- who had been serving as New York's emergency No. 3 QB -- is in line to get the nod this coming weekend rather than previous backup Drew Lock. With six teams on bye Week 12, DeVito represents an option for fantasy managers in QB-heavy formats, as well as those in need of a short-term lineup plug in.

Roster cut due to QB3 rules?
Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic believes that DeVito could be left off the Giants' 53-man roster due to the league's rules around the use of emergency quarterbacks.
ANALYSIS
League rules allow for unlimited game day promotions for the emergency quarterback off the practice squad. Carroll notes that if the Giants feel there isn't a market for DeVito's services, then it would make more sense to have him stick around on the practice squad while Jones and Lock occupy two spots on the 53-man roster. That could be a risky strategy, given that a team at any point could be in need of a backup quarterback like DeVito. He appeared in nine regular-season games for the Giants last season, completing 64.0 percent of his passes for 1,101 yards, eight touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing for 195 yards and one score on 36 carries.
