Sees limited action in 2025
Rudolph completed 38 of 52 passes for 310 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing seven times for six yards over five appearances during the 2025 regular season.
ANALYSIS
The bulk of Rudolph's playing time during the regular season came in the middle of the year, as he entered the team's Week 11 matchup against Cincinnati in relief after Aaron Rodgers got hurt before starting against the Bears in Week 12. Rudolph will remain under contract with the Steelers for the 2026 campaign, but it wouldn't be surprising to see the team bring in other options at quarterback if Aaron Rodgers retires during the offseason.

Rudolph signed a one-year contract this offseason to return to Pittsburgh, where he spent the first five years of his NFL career. He went 1-4 as a starter for the Titans last year, throwing nine touchdowns and nine interceptions on 228 pass attempts for one of the worst teams in the league. Aaron Rodgers signed with the Steelers in June, making an injury the only path to snaps for Rudolph. If he ends up playing this season, he will have more help around him, as the Steelers have a solid defense and offensive line. The pass-catching group, however, likely will be no better than average even if WR DK Metcalf proves to be an upgrade on George Pickens (traded to the Cowboys). The team also traded for Jonnu Smith, giving it another receiving tight end in addition to Pat Freiermuth.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could compete with third-round QB
The Steelers drafted Drew Allar in the third round this weekend, adding another option for Pittsburgh's potential QB competition involving Rudolph.
ANALYSIS
Rudolph looks like the favorite to start for the Steelers in the event that Aaron Rodgers opts to retire, but Pittsburgh's quarterback room now includes the rookie 76th overall pick Allar in addition to 2025 sixth-round pick Will Howard. Allar is recovering from November surgery on a broken left ankle, but he was viewed as a potential first-round talent prior to a disappointing 2025 season at Penn State. Rudolph has 19 regular-season NFL starts under his belt, 14 of which have come with the Steelers.
