With the four touchdowns, Rudolph has now accounted for 45 scores which is an Oklahoma State record. Rudolph passes Barry Sanders who scored 44 touchdowns in the 1988 season. Rudolph has been elite this season while throwing for 4,453 yards and 35 touchdowns while adding 10 rushing scores. Rudolph will finish his career with the Cowboys in a bowl game.

Rudolph passed up the chance to be a first- or second-round pick in the NFL Draft to play his senior season at Oklahoma State, and all the pieces are in place for a strong finish. With 8,714 yards (9.1 YPA), 55 touchdowns and 17 interceptions to his name in 29 games, he returns to an offense that brings back star wideout James Washington, as well as a sound complementary crew, including Jalen McCleskey, Chris Lacy and Marcell Ateman. It would be a significant disappointment if Rudolph doesn't breeze past 30 passing touchdowns.

Rudolph has quietly been extremely productive since Oklahoma State burned his redshirt deep in the 2014 season, becoming one of the nation's top passing talents in a Cowboys offense that has produced reliably the last decade. Even while losing red-zone snaps to backup J.W. Walsh last year, Rudolph threw for 3,770 yards (8.9 YPA) and 21 TDs. Considering Walsh poached 26 total TDs last year, it's hard to not get excited about what Rudolph will do now that he has the quarterback position to himself. It's not hard to imagine a scenario where he pushes for 40 passing TDs.
