Walker will face increased competition for touches after the Ravens drafted a pair of rookie wideouts in Ja'Kobi Lane (third round) and Elijah Sarratt (fourth round) in the 2026 NFL Draft, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Walker seemed like the top candidate for the No. 3 receiver role behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman (illness) prior to the 2026 NFL Draft, but the third-year pro may now need to impress in a competition this offseason in order to secure more than a situational role. Through his first two seasons in the league, Walker has hauled in only seven of 11 targets, but he's made an impact on those limited touches, with 157 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Rookie tight ends Matthew Hibner (fourth round) and Josh Cuevas (fifth round) also represent added competition for targets.

The 2024 fourth-rounder had a muted impact as a rookie with just one catch on his lone target over nine appearances. He made the most of that catch, turning it into a 21-yard touchdown. Walker has a boundary receiver skill set and downfield ability, but the trio of Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and now DeAndre Hopkins means there are significant roadblocks for him to make a significant impact in Year 2. Look for Walker to settle in as the WR4 in Baltimore this season.
The Ravens took Walker in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, adding a potential deep threat for QB Lamar Jackson. While a bit of a late bloomer, Walker had 921 receiving yards and 11 TDs in 2022 at Kent State, followed by 699 yards and seven TDs in just eight games for North Carolina last season. He then ran a 4.36 40-yard dash at the Combine -- adding a 40.5-inch vertical and 131-inch broad jump -- though it wasn't quite enough for the thin wideout (6-1, 193) to earn a Day 2 selection. In Baltimore, the 23-year-old rookie could push Rashod Bateman for the No. 2 receiver job or Nelson Agholor for the No. 3 spot. Neither role is likely to entail a ton of targets if WR Zay Flowers and TE Mark Andrews stay relatively healthy, but Walker's combination of speed and leaping ability could make him important to the offense as a field stretcher.

ANALYSIS
Walker was Baltimore's most consistent wide receiver during spring practices and looks ready to take on a larger role after playing only 57 snaps on offense in his rookie campaign. The 2024 fourth-round draft pick made the most of his only catch, which went for a 21-yard touchdown, but he was inactive for Baltimore's playoff run. Walker's primary competition for the fourth spot on the wide receiver depth chart will likely come from Tylan Wallace, who was fourth among Ravens wide receivers with 193 receiving yards during the 2024 regular season.
