Ford-Wheaton was also being recruited by the Eagles and Seahawks before opting to sign with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia, according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic.

"The determining factor was I had David Sills, one of my old teammates, up there," Ford-Wheaton said. "He's done what I'm trying to do right now." Duggan believes Ford-Wheaton will either make the Giants' roster out of camp or end up on the practice squad.
