Chose Giants over Eagles, Seahawks
Ford-Wheaton was also being recruited by the Eagles and Seahawks before opting to sign with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia, according to Dan Duggan of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Ford-Wheaton talked to coaches Nick Sirianni, Pete Carroll and Brian Daboll, but it was one of his former West Virginia teammates that ultimately convinced the wide receiver to choose Big Blue. "The determining factor was I had David Sills, one of my old teammates, up there," Ford-Wheaton said. "He's done what I'm trying to do right now." Duggan believes Ford-Wheaton will either make the Giants' roster out of camp or end up on the practice squad.
