2026 Fantasy Outlook
Thomas was one of the biggest fantasy busts of 2025, totaling 707 yards and two TDs across 14 regular-season games, after exploding for 675 yards and five TDs over the final seven games of his rookie campaign. At 6-foot-3, 209, with 4.33 speed, Thomas was selected 23rd overall in 2024 and immediately made an impact. He scored a TD in his first NFL game and was starting by Week 2, eventually tallying 87-1,282-10 after a huge December with Mac Jones at quarterback. In 2025, Jacksonville's offense took a huge step forward under new coach Liam Coen, and yet the two Jaguars who had the most pre-season hype (Thomas, Travis Hunter) both proved to be huge disappointments. Part of the team's in-season improvement on offense entailed a reduced emphasis on Thomas/Hunter and more on the plates of Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers. From a non-fantasy standpoint, Thomas at least looked better late in the season, after repeatedly drawing attention throughout September/October for his dropped passes, missed assignments and contact-shyness. Washington dominated Trevor Lawrence's attention down the stretch, but Thomas at least found a way to contribute with big plays in a lower-volume role. While arguably still the upside play for fantasy among Jacksonville's wideouts, Thomas is often picked a round or so after Washington in early 2026 drafts. Read Past Outlooks

Improving chemistry with QB1
Thomas has demonstrated increased chemistry with quarterback Trevor Lawrence during spring practices, Michael DiRocco of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Jaguars head coach Liam Coen said during OTAs the coaching staff is "trying to get a true connection" established between Thomas and Lawrence the tandem "didn't quite have last spring or training camp." Coen said he's been "very pleased" with how Thomas approached the offseason, while Lawrence said he and the wideout have "put a lot of work in throughout all spring really of just trying to get the timing down, the chemistry, [...] and it's starting to pay off." As a rookie, the 2024 first-rounder burst onto the scene with a 87-1,282-10 line, though much of that came with then-backup Mac Jones under center. Thomas then took a notable step back in 2025, tallying 48-707-2 across 14 regular-season appearances. If Thomas is indeed able to improve his rapport with Lawrence and clean up the issues with avoided contact and dropped passes that plagued him last year, he could still boast the highest upside of any of Jacksonville's pass catchers, though Coen's willingness to spread the ball around implies hefty target competition.

2024
Selected 23rd overall last year, Thomas came out of the gate strong and only got better, erasing any concerns about the modest target shares he had at LSU while sharing the field with Malik Nabers. Thomas had 397 yards and three TDs in five games before celebrating his 22nd birthday last October, and while he then went through a mini-slump, his final six games were one of the most productive stretches ever by a rookie wide receiver. Undeterred by the presence of backup QB Mac Jones, the 6-foot-3 rookie with 4.33 speed ripped off six straight games with at least 10 targets and 76 yards -- all while accounting for five of Jacksonville's eight receiving TDs after a Week 12 bye. His average of 8.5 yards per target during that stretch was impressive, considering defenses had little else to worry about and otherwise had no trouble shutting down Jones. The talent around Thomas will be much better this season, with QB Trevor Lawrence coming back healthy, two new starters signed for the interior O-line and two-way star Travis Hunter added with the No. 2 overall pick. A more well-rounded offense under new coach Liam Coen may limit Thomas to 8-9 targets per game rather than the 11.7 he averaged after a Week 12 bye last year, but it also improves Thomas' chances to avoid efficiency regression (or even improve upon his 2024 per-target numbers).

Working to put 2025 behind him
Thomas has been the Jaguars' most impressive wide receiver this offseason, Michael DiRocco of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Coming off a disappointing sophomore slump in 2025, Thomas' role in the offense heading into next season has been in question, but he's shown outstanding chemistry with Trevor Lawrence this spring, and he remains the team's most dangerous deep threat. Thomas took last year's struggles to heart and focused his offseason on improving his attention to detail, and that work could pay off in a bounce-back 2026.
