2026 Fantasy Outlook
Flowers finished 2025 with career highs for catches (86), receiving yards (1,211) and targets (118), though his fantasy production was only marginally better than 2024's until he scored a pair of long TDs in the fourth quarter of a Week 18 loss. The final product nonetheless showed progress, with Flowers easily posting career highs for yards per route (2.8) and yards per target (10.3) even though Baltimore's offense otherwise struggled (relative to his first two years in the league). For a second straight year, the 5-foot-9 Flowers didn't do much in the red zone, with his route share dropping slightly and his target rate plummeting. He's otherwise been the no doubt No. 1 WR in Baltimore ever since the Ravens drafted him 22nd overall in 2023. This upcoming season will be Flowers' first without Todd Monken calling plays, but it may also be the best opportunity Flowers has to corner a massive target share. Ravens WR Rashod Bateman and TE Mark Andrews are coming off down seasons in 2025, while mid-round rookies seem to be the plan for replacing TE Isaiah Likely (Giants) and WR DeAndre Hopkins (FA). New offensive coordinator Declan Doyle figures to run his offense through QB Lamar Jackson, RB Derrick Henry and WR Zay Flowers, just as Monken did, but with some new wrinkles. Read Past Outlooks

Fifth-year option picked up
The Ravens exercised Flowers' $27.3 million team option for the 2027 season Thursday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Picking up Flowers' fifth-year option was viewed as a formality for the Ravens, after the 25-year-old led Baltimore in receptions and receiving yards in each of his three seasons since entering the NFL as a first-round selection out of Boston College in 2023. Though Flowers will be on the books for the next two seasons, the Ravens are expected to initiate talks with the wideout on a contract extension over the next few months. Flowers will be locked in as Baltimore's clear top target heading into the upcoming campaign and could have a chance at building on the career-best 86-1,211-5 receiving line he produced in 2025 after the Ravens let Isaiah Likely walk in free agency and have thus far not brought in any major reinforcements at receiver or tight end.

Flowers instantly became Baltimore's No. 1 receiver after going 22nd overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, drawing 108 targets in 2023 and 116 in 2024 despite playing in a run-heavy offense. His usage changed somewhat between Years 1 and 2, with Flowers finding more success downfield in his second season -- his aDOT rose from 8.4 to 10.3 and his yards per catch from 11.1 to 14.3, while his catch rate dropped from 71.3 percent to 63.8 percent. Ravens OC Todd Monken likes to give Flowers manufactured touches on screens and jet-sweeps, but Flowers' 4.42 speed seems better put to use creating separation on deep and intermediate routes. He's been especially effective with the latter, catching 36 of 53 career targets in the range of 10-19 yards downfield (for 561 yards and five TDs). That's also been Lamar Jackson's consistent strong suit, whereas his deep-passing numbers have varied from year to year. Promising as that may sound, Flowers is still in a run-heavy offense and will still have sturdy competition for intermediate targets from TEs Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely as well as WR Rashod Bateman. With Flowers looking the part of a good player more so than a truly great one, the likely outcome for 2025 is another season with 6-7 targets per game and above-average efficiency, perhaps progressing from WR3 fantasy territory to low-end WR2 status if he can pluck a couple more TDs away from Andrews/Likely/Bateman and RB Derrick Henry.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Blames Harbaugh for past injuries
Flowers recently claimed on a podcast appearance that former head coach John Harbaugh's tough practices led to more injuries, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Appearing on the latest episode of the "4th and South" podcast, Flowers noted the fact Harbaugh maximized the amount of fully padded practices the league allowed wore the team down, particularly late in the season. That in turn led to a tired and more physically vulnerable team in Flowers' view, and he added that new head coach Jesse Minter pledged to him in their first conversation that his style would be "a little easier" on the players' bodies.
