The next season of competitive Call of Duty kicks off with MLG Las Vegas, which will take place from December 16-18 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
MLG Las Vegas will mark the first tournament played on the latest iteration of the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Teams will compete for a prize pool of $100,000, with the top-8 NA teams based on total Pro Points earned last year qualifying for the group stage, with four other teams to be determined at a later time earning their group stage spot.
The top 8 NA Call of Duty Champs teams will start in Pool Play. They will be joined by 4 teams from TBA @GameBattles tournaments.

96 other teams will have to navigate through a double-elimination bracket to earn the remaining four group spots.
On top of the Call of Duty action, MLG Las Vegas will also play host to the Overwatch Invitational with eight teams battling for their share of the $100,000 prize pool. This tournament marks the first time MLG will cover an Overwatch event. It's not a surprise to see MLG cover Overwatch, given the game's publisher, Activision-Blizzard, purchased Major League Gaming earlier this year.
