Sydney Sixers vs. Brisbane Heat: 36th Match Preview

Sydney Sixers and Brisbane Heat are ready to face off in the match 36 of the Big Bash League (BBL) in Sydney on Sunday. The game is an important one for both teams as they need a win to have any chance of qualifying to the next stage. In the previous five meetings between both teams, it is advantage Sixers who have won four times, whereas Heat emerged victorious on only one occasion.

In the batting department, the home team will be depending on the likes of captain Moises Henriques, James Vince and Jordan Silk to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Tom Curran, Sean Abbott and Steve O'Keefe to provide timely breakthroughs.

On the other hand, Heat will be depending on the likes of captain Chris Lynn and Brendon McCullum to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Ben Cutting to provide timely breakthroughs.

Key Players:

Chris Lynn – 11 Cr

First in the list of key players features Heat captain Chris Lynn. The Kolkata Knight Riders opener is on a mission to prove a point to the national selection committee after he was dropped from Australia's ODI squad for the recently concluded three-match series against India. The 28-year-old is having an outstanding tournament with the bat in hand as he is currently franchise's leading run-getter with 317 runs in eight outings at an average of 45.28, which also makes him the second-highest run-scorer in the competition. Those numbers suggest Lynn, who is valued at 11 Cr, might prove to be a good purchase for your team for the match on Sunday. The Brisbane-born right-hander has played 143 T20s in his career, where he has scored 3,952 runs at an average of 33.21, which included one century and 26 fifties.

Steve O'Keefe – 9 Cr

Second in the list of key players is the Sixers' Steve O'Keefe. The left-arm spinner is having an outstanding tournament with the ball in hand where he is the second-leading wicket-taker with 15 scalps in nine outings. With the match being played at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) where the pitch traditionally favours spinners, O'Keefe becomes an even more valuable prospect for your team. The 34-year-old, who is valued at 9 Cr, has played 71 T20s in his career, where he has taken 55 wickets.

Tom Curran – 9.5 Cr

Last in the list of key players is the Sixers' Tom Curran. The 23-year-old is having a great tournament overall where he has scored 167 runs with the bat in seven innings at an average of 41.75 and also has 11 wickets to his name. Those numbers suggest that Curran, who is valued at 9.5 Cr, is the player to have in your team. However, the team management would've been concerned with the bowling form of Curran, who has not taken a single wicket in last two matches. The England international has played 74 T20s in his career, where he has scored 573 runs and has 82 wickets to his name.
