Analysis

This game was played at a pace (100.7) closer to Toronto's regular-season rate (100.2) than Milwaukee's (103.3). However, the Raptors couldn't gain an advantage in any of the Four Factors, suggesting this game shouldn't have been as close as it was. If you take away the first quarter, the Bucks outscored the Raptors 85-66.

The Raptors' usual plan of attack was in place, with Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry as its usage rate leaders (of players that saw at least 10 minutes). They took a combined 61 shots. Marc Gasol was the only other Raptor to take double-digit shot attempts, but he went an abysmal 2-for-11 from the field. Still, his 11 boards, five assists and two blocks helped boost his fantasy production.

For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez and Nikola Mirotic were the usage leaders. Lopez and Mirotic are surprises. Lopez has been cold from beyond the arc through most of the playoffs, but he ended up finding both his outside and inside game. He went 4-of-11 from three and 8-of-10 from two, while also blocking four shots and collecting 11 rebounds -- the first time he's grabbed that many boards since Oct. 20 of 2017. Mirotic took six threes in 24 minutes, which isn't uncharacteristic, but he got to the line for six free-throws -- something he had done just seven times this season prior to Game 1.
