Gritsyuk was a fifth-round pick of the Devils in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He signed a one-year, entry-level contract with the team in May, following five seasons of developing his skills in the KHL. Gritsyuk notched 17 goals and 44 points in 49 regular-season games for SKA St. Petersburg in 2024-25 before adding one goal and four helpers in six playoff outings. Gritsyuk has already missed four games due to his upper-body issue and will now be shut down for the rest of the year. The 25-year-old rookie appeared in 66 games this year, tallying 13 goals, 18 assists and 149 shots, including five power-play points. Looking ahead to 2026-27, if Gritsyuk avoids a sophomore slump, he should be capable of building upon those numbers and pushing for the 20-goal and 40-point thresholds.
