Point Guard
Rajon Rondo, $6,800 - Russell Westbrook ($11,200) has the most upside of anyone, at any position tonight and is worth paying up for. However, that would be lazy advice to give and explain that T.J. McConnell or the rest of the 76ers won't slow him down. Rondo will likely be one of the two other highest owned point guards and for good reason. He's played the entire game the last two contests and the only other viable point option for the Kings, Darren Collison, has already been ruled out. If there needs to be any more of an argument for Rondo, he's had 50.7 or more fantasy points in two of his last three contests.
Emmanuel Mudiay, $6,000 - Ishmael Smith ($5,800) is another option who is similarly priced and in play tonight. The difference is that Mudiay will see more minutes with Jrue Holiday back in the lineup for the Pelicans. The switch seems to have flipped for Mudiay who has at least 31.3 fantasy points in each of his last three games. The matchup with the Rockets should be very up-tempo and Ty Lawson has never been known for his defensive prowess.
Shooting Guard
Marcus Thornton, $4,800 - The price here isn't close to representing his recent production and he likely will jump close to the $6,000 mark in the next week. Thornton has taken his starting role and run with it scoring at least 22.9 fantasy points (including games of 45.1 and 30.3) in his last six games. As mentioned, the Rockets/Nuggets game should be face paced and one of the higher scoring games of the night. Even with the return of Terrance Jones last game the Rockets didn't try to go big and cut into Thornton minutes.
Eric Gordon, $5,800 - Without Anthony Davis the Pelicans will have to turn to Gordon and Ryan Anderson to pick up the scoring slack. Gordon has scored 21.4 points over his last five games and will take more shots with Davis out. The minutes are there for Gordon too as he typically has been playing at least in the mid-30s most games.
Small Forward
Nemanja Bjelica, $4,600 - Bjelica has become a trendy pick for DFS players as he's easily been making much more than his value. He gets minutes in the mid-20s playing of the bench with games of 28.4 and 39.7 in his last three and could pick up more playing time going forward with a couple of different Wolves nursing injuries.
Evan Turner, $6,000 - Injuries have allowed Turner a chance to get more playing time and he's done his best to make the most of it. He's the type of player that contributes across the board and doesn't need to score a ton of points to make his value. Turner has at least 30.2 fantasy points over his last three games and that can be directly attributed to averaging over 30 minutes per game in those contests as well.
Power Forward
Aaron Gordon, $3,800 - Gordon managed only four points and five rebounds Wednesday against the Lakers but teammate Victor Oladipo left the game early with a concussion. Gordon got to start the second half of the game and while Shabazz Napier ($3,700) got the increase of playing time, Gordon should see more work as well. Gordon has games of 31.2, 23.9 22.2 and 21.6 fantasy points this season showing the potential for 6X his price tag.
Ryan Anderson, $6,200 - Some might shy away from taking two players from the same team but Gordon and Anderson are the top two scoring options. Anderson was producing at consistent pace even with Davis in the lineup scoring 25 or more fantasy points in seven straight games. It would be surprising if he didn't make that eight in a row tonight and the ceiling is towards 40 fantasy points for him.
Center
Enes Kanter, $6,300 - Everyone in the DFS community will be excited to use Russell Westbrook tonight but there's just as much upside for Kanter considering his price. Kanter went on a run last season with Durant out averaging 17.7 points/11.2 rebounds during April and then 21.8 points/11.8 rebounds during May. This should be the Kanter/Westbrook show in Philadelphia and the probably return of Nerlens Noel could make this a competitive game.
