DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

GUARDS

Darren Collison, IND vs. NYK ($5,900)

Collison has been playing too well of late to be priced below $6,000. He's posting a 20 percent usage rate while averaging 1.02 DK points per minute with Victor Oladipo off the floor this season, and he's become more consistent since Oladipo went down with his season-ending injury. Across his last 26 games, Collison is averaging 31 fantasy points per game, and he gets a strong matchup Tuesday against the Knicks, who allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing point guards this season.

Kris Dunn, CHI vs. LAL ($5,200)

Dunn has been frustrating for season-long fantasy owners, but he could be in for a big game with Zach LaVine (knee) expected to sit out. With LaVine off the floor, Dunn is posting a 28 percent usage rate while averaging 1.01 DraftKings points per minute. The price is what really makes him an attractive option, though, as his 28 fantasy points per game average is more indicative of a $6,000 player.

Josh Hart, LAL at CHI ($3,900)

It's been hard to trust Hart, but with the Lakers missing Brandon Ingram (arm) and Lonzo Ball (ankle), he becomes one of the best values on the board. Hart has played at least 27 minutes in four straight games, and while he's been in an extended slump after a hot start to the season, Hart has shown 30 and 40-fantasy-point potential on numerous occasions. Given the Lakers' injuries, and a Chicago defense that ranks 25th in defensive efficiency, Hart makes sense tonight at a sub-$4,000 price tag.

FORWARDS

Lauri Markkanen, CHI vs. LAL ($8,200)

With LaVine expected to sit out, Markkanen should become the focal point of the Bulls' offense. With LaVine off the floor, Markkanen leads the team with a 29 percent usage rate while averaging close to 1.2 DK points per minute. That expanded role is even more intriguing when you consider Markkanen's recent play, as he's averaging 41.2 fantasy points per game across his last 19 outings.

Thaddeus Young, IND vs. NYK ($6,100)

Young Is arguably the most consistent forward option below $7,000, as that alone makes him worth a shot against this putrid Knicks defense. Young has at least 20 DK points in 43 straight games, and he's averaging 32.2 fantasy points per game in that span. He may not have the highest ceiling, but that sort of reliability is hard to overlook in this matchup, with New York owning a 30th OPRK against opposing power forwards this season.

CENTERS

Joel Embiid, PHI vs. CLE ($10,200)

Embiid just returned from injury on Sunday to provide 33 points and 12 rebounds, and he appears to be fully healthy. Those monster lines have become the norm for Embiid this season, as he's currently averaging 54.6 DK points per game for the season. DraftKings is actually a bit slow on pricing up Embiid simply because he just returned from injury and that alone makes him a value here.
