The Skinny
Vegas starts the night out tipping the scales as both the biggest favorite (-8.0) over the Liberty and also the highest expected scoring squad (88.75) despite facing a New York team that has topped the league charts in defensive efficiency to date. The Liberty and Aces both check in among the top five in pace, so the Liberty's 80.75 expected score still ranks fourth on the list despite being a sizable underdog. The Aces are aiming to bounce back from their second loss to the Sun in just over a week, though sandwiched between them were three straight wins. Liz Cambage topped 30 minutes for just the second time all season in Tuesday's loss to the Sun, which could mark a point at which she's able to contribute on a more consistent basis. On the same token, the fact that she played 35 minutes Tuesday could suggest she will take a bit more of a break Thursday, especially if the Aces can take control. The Liberty are expected to see the season debut of Leaonna Odom on Thursday, though it could be in limited minutes considering the injury she's coming off of. She could absorb most of Jazmine Jones' minutes if she is forced to miss due to an elbow injury. Betnijah Laney has taken the leading role for the Liberty, tallying at least 20 in every game and turning in a season-high 11 assists against the Dream. Sabrina Ionescu had her worst effort of the season in that contest, while Michaela Onyenwere broke out for 29, the most in her young career.

The Skinny
The Sky eagerly await the return of Candace Parker but will have to make it through at least another game before her services are available. On the plus side, the Sky do return Stefanie Dolson and likely Allie Quigley, which should bolster a rotation that has been lacking some depth of late. Dolson's return will likely impact the workloads of Ruthy Hebard and Astou Ndour-Fall the most, while Quigley's return likely strips a lot of playing time away from Lexie Brown, who supplied just two points, four assists and a board over 20 minutes Tuesday. The Sky are listed as 1.5-point underdogs in the contest, likely due to Phoenix's offensive efficiency and the lack thereof so far for Chicago. The Mercury remain without star point guard Diana Taurasi, which has opened additional playing time for Kia Nurse, Kia Vaughn and Megan Walker. Skylar Diggins-Smith has taken lead on the point with Taurasi out, supplying 7.7 assists to go along with her 20.3 points per game over the last three. She figures to be key to extending the Mercury's winning streak to three, while Chicago is looking to bust out of a five-game losing skid.

The Skinny
The Fever have predictably fallen to the bottom of the heap in the standings, sporting a 1-8 record and losing four straight games. Those four games haven't been particularly close either, with the smallest margin being 16 against the Mystics back on May 25. The team is relatively healthy as well, so it's not a case where Indiana is missing a bunch of contributors who should help the cause at a later date. They are just 6.5-point underdogs despite the poor play of late but sport a slate-low 76.75 expected score. Some of that is likely due to the Ogwumike sisters both being sidelined for the foreseeable future. In their absence, look for Amanda Zahui B to log as many minutes as she can handle moving forward. Nia Coffey Brittney, Sykes and Bria Holmes also could see minute boosts as a result of the multiple frontcourt absences. The absences in the Sparks' frontcourt could open up some production for Teaira McCowan on Thursday, especially considering the Sparks have been limping to just a 40.2 percent rebound rate to date. Jessica Breland and Jantel Lavender are the other two primary contributors for Indiana in that department.
