The Skinny
The Sun sit at the top of the Eastern Conference standings and are the only team with a winning record in that group, but it's not a secret that they've been moving in the wrong direction of late since they enter Saturday's action on a two-game losing streak. Even if their recent results have not been very good, Connecticut has quite a few fantasy alternatives worth analyzing for today's three-game slate. Jonquel Jones is one of the few players in the league averaging a double-double (including a league-leading 10.4 rebounds per game) and DeWanna Bonner is in the midst of another stellar year, averaging 15.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks per tilt. Connecticut has also gone 3-3 on the road thus far.
The Sky might enter Saturday's slate with a losing record but are the hottest team in the Eastern Conference by a wide margin, as they arrive at this matchup on a four-game winning run and could reach a .500 record with another victory here. That might be easier said than done, though, as Chicago has gone just 2-5 at home this season. The Sky has six players that are currently averaging double-digit points, but a few names are worth mentioning out of that bunch. Candace Parker is averaging 13.2 points and 8.4 rebounds per contest, while Kahleah Cooper is averaging a team-best 14.6 points per tilt as well. Courtney Vandersloot might be a bit inconsistent when it comes to her scoring figures, but she's been getting the job done as a playmaker and averages a league-high 8.3 dimes per contest.

The Skinny
The Fever have been the worst team in the league by a wide margin and sport a woeful 1-13 record while riding a nine-game losing streak prior to this matchup. Making things even more complicated is the fact that Indiana is yet to win on the road during the current campaign and, as such, it's hard to rely on them to deliver results, cover the spread or even deliver a few individual fantasy performances that can be serviceable. There are a few names worth following in Saturday's three-game slate, though. Kelsey Mitchell is the team's main scorer with 15.6 points and 1.9 threes made per game, but she doesn't offer a lot of value in other categories. Teaira McCowan is only putting up 11.1 points per game, but she's making an impact on the glass with 9.0 rebounds per tilt. Aside from those two, though, there aren't many other viable fantasy alternatives for Indiana.
Washington sits in fourth place of the Eastern Conference standings and is just one game below the .500 threshold, though the Mystics can also be defined as a team that is dependent on their home/away splits to analyze their performances properly. Indeed, Washington has gone 4-3 at home but just 1-3 on the road, and as such, they should be confident about their chances of winning here since they'll be in front of their home crowd and facing the worst team in the competition. With that in mind, it makes sense to stack on the Mystics for this game, but two players are particularly worth targeting as must-start alternatives: Tina Charles and Ariel Atkins. While Charles is averaging a league-high 24.0 points per game while also pulling down 8.4 rebounds per contest, Atkins is scoring a healthy 19.3 points per appearance. The absence of Myisha Hines-Allen (knee) could also result in an expanded role – and thus, bigger upside – for Natasha Cloud as well.

The Skinny
The Lynx are just one game below the .500 threshold and secured a win in their previous contest, but the fact that they'll be playing on the road complicates the scenario for them – Minnesota owns a below-average 1-3 record when playing away from home this season. The Lynx don't have many reliable fantasy assets in their roster, but the names of Sylvia Fowles and Napheesa Collier are worth monitoring. While Fowles is averaging close to a double-double thanks to her 16.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, Collier is putting up a team-best 17.8 points per contest while also contributing on the glass (6.4 rebounds per game) and on defense, with a combined 2.4 steals and blocks per contest.
Fortunately for Minnesota, the Wings are a team that is also riding their fair share of struggles on both ends of the court and while they sit just 0.5 games behind the Lynx in the standings, it's fair to mention they are in the last place of the Conference while also winning just once at home throughout the entire campaign (1-3). To make things even more complicated for the Wings, they also enter this matchup on a two-game losing streak. As one would have guessed it, the Wings are a bit short in terms of reliable fantasy contributors, but fantasy managers can always turn to Arike Ogunbowale, who's averaging a team-high 20.8 points per game. She is one of five players in the entire league that is averaging at least 20 points per game. One sneaky value play might be Satou Sabally, who's averaging 13.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per tilt while also averaging one three-pointer made per game.
