Nketiah joined Crystal Palace with plenty of promise and assumption he'd jump into the starting XI. Instead, he started just nine times in his 29 appearances, scoring three goals. He was given opportunities early in the season when he ripped shots and didn't score. From there, Ismaila Sarr became the starter and never relented. Most of Nketiah's minutes later in the season came when Jean-Philippe Mateta missed time or was rested. One thing Nketiah can say is that he takes a lot of shots when in the XI. The downside is that the goals and consistent starts rarely came, something that again will be an issue in 2025/26.
Suffers setback
Nketiah (strain) remains out as he "had a setback and we will miss him for a few more weeks.", manager Oliver Glasner confirmed Wednesday.

Nketiah was forced off at halftime due to a knock during Tuesday's defeat against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, but will be available for Sunday's clash against Tottenham, coach Oliver Glasner said in a press conference, according to BeanymanSports. "He had a slight knock, but I am sure he will be back for the Tottenham game."

However, Nketiah suffered yet another injury, and that ended West Ham's chances of landing the 26-year-old striker.
