2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kamada was a bit of a disappointment in his first season with Crystal Palace after linking up again with manager Oliver Glasner, who got the best out of him offensively with Eintracht Frankfurt. He finished last season with no goal contributions in 34 appearances (15 starts), largely playing in a midfield pivot instead of his preferred role in attacking midfield. While his playing time increased later in the season, it was mostly in a deeper role that didn't lead to much offensively. For him to produce goals or assists, he'll need to play a different role in the squad.
Score game tying goal
Kamada scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one corner in Sunday's 2-2 draw versus Netherlands.
ANALYSIS
Kamada was the hero for Japan on Saturday, delivering the game‑tying goal from a set piece to secure a 2-2 draw against group favorites Netherlands. It was his only shot on target, while he also contributed two crosses and took one corner. The goal was especially surprising given that the Crystal Palace midfielder went the entire Premier League season without scoring, marking his first goal in any competition since his time with Lazio in 2023/24. Kamada isn't likely to become a consistent scoring threat moving forward, but he remains a player to monitor on all set‑piece opportunities for Japan throughout the World Cup.

Eyeing return against Brighton
Kamada (hamstring) is eyeing a return against Brighton, according to manager Oliver Glasner. "It looks like today or tomorrow we're doing a re-scan again, and if it looks quite good, he's more and more integrated, so the plan is that he has a full training week and should be available for Brighton if the scan is more or less okay - it won't be perfect, but okay."

Palace keen to keep him around
Crystal Palace want to keep Kamada at the club for the 2026/27 season, according to Sky Sports.
ANALYSIS
Kamada was one of the most reliable players for manager Oliver Glasner in the 2025/26 season, and even though the Eagles will have a new manager in 2026/27, the club wants Kamada to stay at Selhurst Park. A strong showing in the World Cup could lead to teams sending offers to sign the Japanese playmaker, but Palace want Kamada to stay so he can play for Palace in the UEFA Europa League in 2026/27.
