Wharton (groin) won't return for Sunday's trip to Brighton, per manager Oliver Glasner."He [Wharton] had a little bit of a reaction after the Wednesday and Thursday training sessions. [They were] very intense sessions and he had a bit of a reaction, so we had to reduce his workload, so he won't be available."

Wharton (groin) is in partial training and could be back for a Dec. 15 trip to Brighton, according to manager Oliver Glasner."If he can train completely next week, then maybe he will be available for Brighton."

Wharton (groin) is out for Tuesday's match against Ipswich but could return against Brighton on Dec. 15, according to manager Olivier Glasner. "For Adam it will be too soon. If everything foes as we planned, he will have his first training session with us after the Ipswich game, so he didn't train until now. Also the City game is too coon, but maybe then Brighton is possible for him."

Wharton (groin) is set for surgery on his groin, manager Oliver Glasner confirmed. "He's really struggled the last weeks and months and so now we took the decision he will have surgery, and we hope to have him back after, let's say, four weeks."

Wharton has been dealing with a groin injury that resulted him to leave during the first half of Wednesday's Carabao Cup win. According to manager Oliver Glaser, "With Adam, I'm very positive because it's nothing new. I have spoken about it many times - he's had this groin problem for months. We thought that needed a break today but yesterday he gave me the thumbs up that he was fine" per Jonathan Gorrie of the Standard.
