The Slovakia international goalkeeper joins on a free transfer after a Premier League career that began at Newcastle United in January 2018, where he made 88 consecutive league appearances and was later named the club's Player of the Year for 2019/20 after recording the most saves in the division that season. He also won the Carabao Cup with Manchester United during a loan spell in 2022/23 and lifted the trophy again with Newcastle in 2025, keeping clean sheets in both legs of the semi-final win over Arsenal.
