2025 Fantasy Outlook
Maddison's story last season was similar to many other Tottenham players, as he was hampered by injuries. He finished with 16 goal contributions despite playing the fewest minutes he's played in a Premier League campaign, just 1,816. If he can stay fit, he could play a key role in Thomas Frank's system as the creator in the center of the pitch, connecting the defense to the offense. If things go well and he's healthy for 30-plus matches, it wouldn't be surprising if he surpassed 20 goal involvements, similar to his peak at Leicester City.
Could be option this season
Maddison (knee) still has a chance of returning to play this season, according to manager Igor Tudor. "Maybe [he could be back this season], yeah, he is already doing interesting things with the ball, sprinting as well. You know, I saw him, he's positive."
ANALYSIS
Maddison is still working individually as he returns from a knee injury and has yet to join team training, although he is receiving a positive update. He is now eyeing a return at the end of the season if he continues to trend in the right direction, possibly an option in May. However, this will depend on his recovery, needing to face no setbacks and a clean bill of health in the build-up to his return.

In early stages of rehab
Maddison (knee) was out on the training pitch Monday and is in the early stages of his recovery, according to manager Thomas Frank. "It's very early stages. It's still a long-term injury, so it's good to see him out there, but very early stages. There's no specific time frame. It'll be a long time, unfortunately, before he's available."

Suffers bad setback
Maddison suffered a bad setback from his knee injury in Sunday's pre-season friendly against Newcastle in South Korea and was stretchered off the pitch late in the game, coach Thomas Frank confirmed in a press conference. "It's most likely he has a bad injury, we need to be honest with that, it's the same knee as the previous injury. Of course, we don't know the full assessment of it, so we need to see that."
