Awarded big opportunity fight
LightweightUFC
March 13, 2026
Salkilld will be fighting Beneil Dariush at UFC Fight Night 275 in Perth on May 2, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Salkilld is set for the biggest challenge of his UFC career to date against one of the best in his division in Dariush. The American fighter was scheduled to face Manuel Torres on April 11, but Torres was forced to withdraw due to injury, allowing Salkilld to step in as a replacement. Salkilld has won his first four fights since debuting in the UFC in 2024, and a strong performance against a top tier opponent would be huge for his career trajectory.

Rolls as biggest favorite on card
LightweightUFC
January 31, 2026
Salkilld defated Jamie Mullarkey via submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:02 of Round 1 at UFC 325 on Saturday in Sydney, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Salkilld was originally due to face Rong Zhu this evening before dealing with an opponent change a few weeks ago. Mullarkey stepped in, and Salkilld predictably routed him as a north of a -1000 favorite, by far the largest on the entire card. Quillan has legitimate power, and as we saw here, an underrated ground game. He tripped Mullarkey to the mat before clamping on the rear-naked choke/face crank which closed the show and would go on to earn him a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus. The 26-year-old Aussie is 4-0 in the UFC with three stoppage wins (two knockouts, one submission) on his resume. He is due a significant step up in competition his next time out. Salkilld is going to rout fringe-roster fighters such as a Mullarkey eight days a week.
No longer fighting Zhu

January 8, 2026
Salkilld will take on Jamie Mullarkey in a lightweight matchup at UFC 325 on Jan. 31, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
With Rong Zhu out for undisclosed reasons, Salkilld will now take on Mullarkey in the upcoming January contest. Salkilld will put a three-fight winning streak on the line as he faces Mullarkey, who has gone 3-3 in his last six UFC matches but has much more experience at the level.
Gets another hot prospect

Salkilld will take on Rong Zhu in a lightweight matchup at UFC 325 on Jan. 31, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Salkilld will put a three-fight winning streak on the line against a tough opponent in Zhu who has won two straight since losing his UFC debut. Salkilled has notable height and reach advantages and is better defensively on the feet, though Zhu does own a volume striking advantage. The wrestling of Salkilld should be put to the test here, too. While he averages nearly eight takedowns per 15 minutes of fight time, Zhu defends them at a respectable 84 percent clip.
Highlight reel KO in Abu Dhabi
LightweightUFC
October 25, 2025
Salkilld defeated Nasrat Haqparast via KO (head kick) at 2:30 of Round 1 at UFC 321 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
That's quite a statement from Salkilld in a pick 'em fight. The highlight of the early minutes of this fight was Quillan failing on four straight takedown attempts. It was at that point he fired off a head kick which got through Haqparast's guard and blasted him on the side of the head. The latter immediately crumbled, out cold before he hit the mat. The finish would go on to earn him a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus. Although Salkilld entered with a 3-0 mark with the UFC (including his fight on Dana White's Contender Series), his wins were over Gauge Young, Anshul Jubli and Yanal Ashmouz. This impressive win over Haqparast means considerably more.
Booked against Haqparast

Salkilld will fight Nasrat Haqparast at UFC 321 on Oct. 25, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Salkilld defeated Yanal Ashmouz in June to improve to 2-0 as a UFC fighter, but the former is now due to be tested against an opponent who has far more experience in the promotion and has won five consecutive bouts.
