Gets right back in win column

Grant defeated Adrian Luna Martinetti via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a major rebound performance from Grant on the heels of his first-round submission loss to Charles Jourdain in October. He made a concerted effort to damage Martinetti with low kicks, and it probably won him the fight. Grant landed 61 of them, which left Martinetti hobbled in what was essentially a 15-minute kickboxing match. All told, Grant closed with a 162-99 edge in significant strikes landed, winning him two of the three rounds on all three scorecards. Davey is one of the more underrated fighters in the company. The main thing working against him is the fact he'll be 41 years old in December. We'll see if he can get another fight before 2026 comes to a close. In the meantime, he'll walk away $100,000 richer after this high-volume affair was awarded Fight of the Night honors.

Grant lost to Charles Jourdain via submission (guillotine choke) at 3:05 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Vancouver.
ANALYSIS
Grant is one of the most highly respected fighters in the division, and he gives you a strong, honest effort every time out, win or lose. This was the first time in seemingly forever that he was truly dominated. He was floored by a Jourdain knee which eventually turned into the guillotine choke which closed the show. It was Grant's first loss by any method other than split decision since June 2021. The soon-to-be 40-year-old Brit remains a supremely valuable member of the bantamweight division despite the setback.

Grant defeated Da'Mon Blackshear via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
Grant has excellent cardio and has always been the type of guy that will fight for your dollar. He doesn't quit on himself, and he didn't this evening despite a slow start. He allowed a Blackshear takedown in Round 1 and spent much of the frame on the mat. Yet, all the grappling appeared to tire his opponent, and Davey took full advantage in the final two rounds. He stuffed all four of Blackshear's tries the rest of the way in addition to pulling ahead on the feet. Grant stayed aggressive while Da'Mon slowed down. Davey hasn't fought much of late, as this was just his fifth appearance since May 2022, but he's 4-1 during that stretch.

Grant will face Da'Mon Blackshear in a bantamweight bout at UFC Abu Dhabi on July 26, per Nolan King of USA Today.
ANALYSIS
Grant is coming off a win over Ramon Teveras via unanimous decision in September that got him back in the win column after falling to Daniel Marcos the previous year. He was scheduled to face Daniel Santos on April 5, but that bout was cancelled as Grant dealt with an undisclosed medical issue. Now, he'll face a fighter in Blackshear who has won three straight contests.
