Will take on Osbourne
FlyweightUFC
May 1, 2026
Durden will face Ode Osbourne in a flyweight bout at UFC 329 on July 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Durden is coming off a win over Jafel Filho the last time out on April 25 this year, and that victory allowed him to snap a four-fight losing streak. Durden will have a golden chance to start a winning run, and perhaps avoid a release, as he'll face an opponent who has won just once in his last six fights.

Snaps four-fight losing streak
FlyweightUFC
April 25, 2026
Durden defeated Jafel Filho via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Durden entered having lost four straight and sporting a 1-6 mark in his last seven dating back to December 2023. It's a mortal lock that he would have been handed his walking papers if he came up short here. Instead, he accepted this fight less than a week ago following the withdrawal of Lucas Rocha (undisclosed) and responded with a decision win as a +450 underdog. Durden's grappling game is always on point, but he typically struggles with cardio. The difference this evening was the fact Filho appeared to be even more tired than Cody, allowing the latter to get the job done. Durden had been so bad of late that he might need another win his next time out to avoid a release, but at least he should be afford one more opportunity, at a minimum.

April 20, 2026
Durden will take on Jafel Filho in a flyweight bout at UFC Vegas 116 on April 25, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Durden steps in on short notice after Filho's initially scheduled opponent, Lucas Rocha, had to back out for undisclosed reasons. Durden gets less than a week to prep for this fight, a bold move as he's in desperate need of a win, having dropped four straight bouts. Filho, meanwhile, picked up a win his last time in the Octagon against Clayton Carpenter.
Losing streak hits four

Durden lost to Nyamjargal Tumendemberel via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC 326 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Because Durden spends so much time wrestling, his stand-up skills have never improved much over the years. There was a time when he would win fights with grit, toughness and control time from top position, but at this stage of his career, he's even getting out-grappled by his opposition, as was the case here against Tumendemberel. Neither man generated much offense, but Cody was credited with just four significant strikes landed in each of the first two rounds. Judges are looking for damage more than ever when scoring fights, and Durden simply doesn't bring much of that to the table at this stage of his career. Set to turn 35 in a few weeks, Cody has lost four straight dating back to December 2024 and is probably looking at a release.
Booked vs. Tumendemberel
FlyweightUFC
December 18, 2025
Durden will face Nyamjargal Tumendemberel in a lightweight bout at UFC 326 on March 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Durden is in desperate need of a victory -- he's dropped three straight bouts, sinking his UFC record to 6-7. He'll get a chance to right the ship against a much less experienced fighter in Tumendemberel, who is 1-1 in the promotion.
Valiant effort in late-notice loss

Durden lost to Allan Nascimento via submission (anaconda choke) at 3:13 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Durden accepted this fight a week ago after Rafael Estevam (undisclosed) was forced to withdraw. When you take that into consideration, he looked pretty darn good. Cody easily won Round 1 and was in firm control almost all of Round 2 until things turned sour. He got blasted with a right hand, was forced to duck into a takedown attempt, leaving his neck exposed as a result. Durden is willing to fight any opponent at any time, and that has to be complimented. That said, sooner or later, you have to start winning, and Cody has struggled with that in recent years. He's lost three straight and five of his last six, and his roster spot would appear to be in serious jeopardy.
