Quinn Ewers

23-Year-Old QuarterbackQB
Miami Dolphins
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Ewers started the final three games of the 2025 season for the Dolphins, posting a 1-2 record and 3:3 TD:INT while averaging 190 passing yards per game. The 2025 seventh-round pick out of Texas is expected to serve as the backup to Malik Willis in 2026 after Miami gave Willis a three-year, $67.5 million contract in the offseason, though it’s worth noting that Willis has made only six starts since entering the NFL in 2022 and thrown for more than 136 yards just twice. Given that context, it’s certainly possible for Ewers to get starts in 2026 if Willis gets hurt or benched, though the rebuilding Dolphins’ passing game isn’t expected to be a fantasy-friendly one. No limitations during OTAs

May 27, 2026
Ewers (knee) has been participating fully in 7-on-7 drills during OTAs, Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Kelly, Ewers has been performing well, connecting with tight end Ben Sims and rookie undrafted free-agent wide receiver Donaven McCulley. As the offseason progresses, Ewers will continue to compete with 2025 sixth-rounder Cam Miller and rookie undrafted free agent Mark Gronowski for the Dolphins' backup QB role.

2025 Fantasy Outlook
A seventh-round pick in this year's draft, Ewers joins a Miami team that is financially committed to Zach Wilson as the backup to Tua Tagovailoa for at least 2025. But after three starting seasons at Texas following a one-year stint at Ohio State, Ewers has plenty of experience and boasts more upside than the typical seventh-rounder, as injuries contributed to his slide. This season, however, he's likely headed to the practice squad.

GM suggests starting opportunity
QBMiami Dolphins
February 13, 2026
New Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan's recent comments about how the team will be built suggest Ewers could ultimately be the team's starter in 2026, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com opines.
ANALYSIS
Sullivan recently mentioned that under his purview, the Dolphins will be first focusing on the infrastructure around the quarterback without even settling on a candidate at the position. Given the chatter surrounding a potential trade of Tua Tagovailoa and Ewers' encouraging three-game starting run to close out the 2025 regular season, Louis-Jacques opines Sullivan's comments suggest there's a strong likelihood Ewers, who's still highly malleable at this nascent stage of his career, will be the quarterback and asked to adapt to the personnel around him.
