A two-time FCS national champion, Miller was selected by Las Vegas in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft after setting North Dakota State's single-season records in both completions (258) and passing yards (3,251) in 2024. He also rushed 526 times for 2,277 yards and 48 touchdowns throughout his five-year collegiate career, so there's an element of mobility to his game. However, fellow Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell has a significant experience advantage for primary backup duties behind starter Geno Smith, so Miller doesn't project to see the field much as a rookie. The Dolphins signed Miller off the Raiders' practice squad Thursday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The 24-year-old quarterback has yet to appear in an NFL game after throwing for 3,251 yards, 33 touchdowns and four interceptions while rushing for 631 yards and 12 touchdowns during his final collegiate season in 2024.
