Lands on IR
Skinner (undisclosed) reverted from waivers to the Jets' injured reserve list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Skinner went unclaimed after being waived with an injury designation Monday, and he'll have to miss the entire 2026 season unless he negotiates an injury settlement. The undrafted wideout out of Kansas made his NFL debut in 2025, catching his only target for 10 yards in Week 18 against the Bills.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
In mix for roster spot
Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic predicts that Skinner will make the Jets' 53-man roster.
ANALYSIS
Rosenblatt believes Allen Lazard will begin the regular season on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury, which would open up a spot for either Skinner or Brandon Smith to make the team as a sixth healthy wide receiver. Skinner is the better deep threat thanks to his superior speed and 6-foot-5 frame, though Smith has had a productive preseason as well and demonstrated more flexibility. The deciding factor could be age, where the 23-year-old Skinner has the edge over Smith, who is three years older.
