2025 Fantasy Outlook
Smith was selected 110th overall by the Jets in the 2025 NFL Draft after leading Georgia with 841 receiving yards in 2024. His 4.36 speed brings a unique element to a Jets offense with a wide open WR depth chart behind Garrett Wilson, but Smith had an SEC-worst 10 drops in his final college season. Smith could carve out a prominent role right away if he curbs the drops, or he could be stuck behind some combination of Allen Lazard, Josh Reynolds, Malachi Corley, Tyler Johnson and Xavier Gipson. RANKS
Seven receptions as rookie
Smith finished his rookie 2025 season with seven catches for 52 yards on 16 targets while adding four carries for 13 yards. He also notched two kickoff returns for 49 yards and recorded three solo tackles.
ANALYSIS
Smith didn't make much of an impact on offense, as his longest catch went for 23 yards. In his limited action on that side of the ball, Smith primarily ran deep routes but didn't get much attention from the Jets' underwhelming stable of quarterbacks. The 2025 fourth-round pick should have little trouble holding onto a roster spot in 2026 thanks to his contributions as a gunner on special teams, but Smith would need to develop substantially as a receiver to earn fantasy consideration.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Extra opportunity likely Thursday
Smith, who recorded a position-high snap count against the Browns in Week 10, is in line for another expanded role in Thursday night's game against the Patriots due to Garrett Wilson having been ruled out with a knee injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Smith recorded a 67 percent snap share to lead all Jets receivers against Cleveland, a game Wilson was forced to exit early due to his knee injury. Justin Fields threw for just 54 yards on six completions in the 27-20 win for New York, and Smith still finished with zero targets and a 13-yard rush on one attempt. However, Smith should have another chance for plenty of work Thursday, although recent trade addition Adonai Mitchell is also expected make his team debut.
