Trubisky led Buffalo's offense effortlessly against an outmatched New York defense, turning in one of the best statistical performances of his nine-year NFL career. He'll revert to a backup role beginning with Sunday's wild-card round matchup against the Jaguars. Trubisky concludes the regular season having completed 25 of 35 pass attempts for 313 yards and four touchdowns, while rushing nine times for six yards, over four appearances.

Trubisky has developed into a competent backup and boasts the tools (rushing ability and arm strength to threaten downfield) to attempt a facsimile impression of Josh Allen if required. In his only notable action in 2024, a Week 18 loss against the Patriots that had no impact on Buffalo's playoff standing, Trubisky looked serviceable while completing 15 of 21 passes for 101 yards and a score (plus four carries for 12 yards) before ceding the ball to No. 3 QB Mike White in the third quarter. White's continued presence as a third-stringer provides helpful continuity for this quarterback room.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could be fit for NYJ, TEN or BUF
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com lists the Titans, Bills and Jets as potential landing spots for Trubisky in free agency.
ANALYSIS
Re-signing with the Bills would be mean Trubisky would be re-signing to remain a backup behind Josh Allen, who is currently recovering from a foot injury but has been one of the league's most durable quarterbacks. Tennessee would go into the season with 2025 first overall pick Cam Ward penciled in as the starter, though the Titans have a new coaching staff, and Ward threw just 15 touchdown passes while posting a 3-14 record as a rookie. If Trubisky signs with the Jets, he could compete for a starting role, depending on what other moves the team makes under center.
