2026 Fantasy Outlook
Whyle had five catches in eight regular-season games with the Packers in 2025 after being cut by the Titans last August. Tennessee’s fifth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft posted a 28-248-1 line in 2024. The 6-7, 248-pound TE doesn’t stand out as either a blocker or a pass catcher, so the best Whyle can realistically hope for is a depth role with the Packers, regardless of whether starting TE Tucker Kraft returns from a torn ACL by Week 1. Emerging as No. 3 tight end
Whyle "took significant snaps with the starters" during OTAs and seems to be in line for the Packers' No. 3 tight-end role, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Whyle wasn't able to make Tennessee's season-opening roster last year and subsequently joined Green Bay's practice squad. He was eventually signed to the active roster after Tucker Kraft (knee) was lost for the season but didn't make much of an impact on offense, catching just five passes on six targets for 36 yards and a touchdown. Kraft recently stated that he expects to be ready for Week 1, and Luke Musgrave (undisclosed) is likely to take the No. 2 tight-end job, but Whyle currently appears to have a good chance of making the roster as the No. 3 tight end. That wouldn't necessarily portend fantasy-relevant production, though it would put him in line for meaningful snaps if Kraft and/or Musgrave needed to miss time.

The 6-foot-7, 248-pound Whyle is a better blocker than the 6-foot-3, 238-pound Chig Okonkwo, but Okonkwo is a better athlete who should continue to get the majority of pass catching opportunities in a Titans offense that added QB Cam Ward out of Miami with the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and drafted TE Gunnar Helm in the fourth round. While Whyle’s large frame could create mismatches by the goal line, the 2023 fifth-round draft pick has yet to demonstrate much scoring aptitude, with just 342 receiving yards and two touchdowns through 28 NFL games. Whyle scored only one of the six TDs among Tennessee’s TEs in 2024, while Okonkwo had two and journeyman Nick Vannett tallied three.

Takes step forward this offseason
Whyle has made a strong impression in his first offseason with the Packers, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
A 2023 fifth-round pick of the Titans, Whyle actually showed some upside as a pass catcher in 2024 while posting a 28-248-1 line on 37 targets across 17 regular-season games. However, Tennessee let Whyle go midway through the 2025 campaign, and the Packers eventually brought him up to the active roster after initially signing him to the practice squad. Whyle subsequently posted a 5-36-1 tally over his first eight regular-season contests in Green Bay, and he's received significant snaps with the first team this offseason while No. 1 tight end Tucker Kraft continues his recovery from last year's ACL tear.
