2026 Fantasy Outlook
Goedert had a career-high 11 touchdown in 2025 among his career-best 60 receptions, but he averaged a career-low 9.9 yards per catch and just 39.4 receiving yards per game (his lowest average since 2018). He scored only eight touchdowns over the preceding three seasons and had never exceeded five in any campaign prior to 2025, so the 31-year-old TE seems primed for major regression in that category even if he plays well in 2026. The Eagles are set to return QB Jalen Hurts, RB Saquon Barkley and WR DeVonta Smith as offensive cornerstones, adding rookie wideout Makai Lemon (first round) and rookie tight end Eli Stowers (second round) to help make up for A.J. Brown's departure to New England. There's always some chance of Stowers poaching work from Goedert, but the more likely scenario -- at least early on -- entails Goedert maintaining his three-down role while the rookie mostly plays in multi-TE sets. Could see added targets
Goedert's role could expand in 2026 after the Eagles traded A.J. Brown to New England, Glenn Erby of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Goedert re-signed with Philadelphia via a one-year, $7 million deal this offseason and is coming off a productive 2025 campaign in which he drew 82 targets across 15 regular-season games. The veteran tight end finished with 591 receiving yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns, emerging as one of the team's top red-zone threats. Alongside DeVonta Smith and rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon (undisclosed), Goedert projects as one of the primary beneficiaries of Brown's departure. Dontayvion Wicks, Hollywood Brown and Elijah Moore are also expected to compete for a larger share of the passing game.

2018
Goedert has consistently been a low-end fantasy starter, averaging between 42.3 and 58.5 yards per game each of the past five seasons. He was right in the middle last year, with 49.6 ypg, though his season totals (42 catches for 496 yards and two TDs) look underwhelming because hamstring and knee injuries cost him seven games. It was his fifth straight year with multiple missed games, but his first time missing more than five. Goedert has spent his entire seven-year career with the Eagles, maxing out at 87 targets (2019), 830 yards (2021) and five TDs (2019) while catching at least two-thirds of his targets every year and earning about half his yardage after the catch. He'll again be the third receiving option behind WRs A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in a run-first offense, with a good setup for per-target efficiency but not much chance of averaging more than 5-6 targets per game or getting regular goal-line looks.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Brown's exit creates opportunity
Goedert could see an uptick in targets since A.J. Brown is no longer on the Eagles, according to Glenn Erby of USA Today.
ANALYSIS
Philadelphia traded Brown to the Patriots in June after Brown recorded a team-high 121 targets in the 2025 regular season. Goedert was third on the team with 82 targets in the 2025 regular season, which was five targets shy of the veteran tight end's career high from 2019. Brown's departure could create more looks for Goedert, as well as for an Eagles wide receiver room led by DeVonta Smith, offseason acquisition Dontayvion Wicks and rookie first-round pick Makai Lemon, who has been nursing an offseason hamstring injury.
