2026 Projections
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Jordan sustained a season-ending torn ACL after playing just two games in 2024 and missed the entire 2025 season after suffering another significant knee injury last August. If he can finally work his way back onto the field in 2026, it would likely be in a depth role, as Jordan is fighting an uphill battle to make the team ahead of his age-26 season. The Texans fortified their TE room behind Dalton Schultz by drafting Marlin Klein in the second round of this year's draft and signing veteran backup Foster Moreau, while 2024 fourth-round pick Cade Stover is in the mix as well. Working back from major injury
Jordan is progressing in his rehab from the torn patellar tendon he suffered during training camp last year, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Mandatory practices still haven't started up yet for the new year, so there's no reason for Houston to rush Jordan back into action. The Texans signed Foster Moreau in free agency and added second-rounder Marlin Klein in the 2026 NFL Draft, so Jordan's place on their 53-man roster is far from guaranteed at this point.

Jordan is one of two tight ends recovering from injury. He was sidelined after Week 2 last year by a season-ending ACL tear in his right knee. Later, he was joined by rookie Cade Stover, who underwent surgery to repair a fractured collarbone. With that uncertainty, Houston drafted Luke Lachey (seventh round). Jordan was on his way to being the top backup to Dalton Schultz prior to his injury, but even if he stayed healthy, he was not high on the target list. If Jordan wins a spot on the roster, he'll be in the same position as last season - too many preferred targets ahead of him, including Schultz.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could play more if Schultz sits
Jordan could be in line for a larger role Sunday against the Bears, as Dalton Schultz missed practice Wednesday and Thursday due to an ankle injury, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.
ANALYSIS
Schultz is in danger of sitting out against a Chicago defense that allowed a touchdown to Titans tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo in Week 1. Rookie Cade Stover could also compete for snaps, but Jordan performed well in Schultz's two-game absence last season, catching six of eight targets for 99 yards over that span.
