PREGAME UPDATES

STATS AND INFO.

THE SLATE

FC Bayern Munich at CSKA Moscow

Status Check: Paul Zipser (BAY), Leon Radosevic (BAY), Zan Mark Sisko (BAY), Semen Antonov (CSK)

Best Bets for Success: The first contest of the day will be a pivotal one for both squads, as Bayern has clawed back to 5-6 and CSKA sits a game above .500 at 6-5. The visitors have shown marked improvement since getting Vladimir Lucic back, and even though he had a couple duds in recent Rounds, he remains the player on his team most likely to produce. Bayern has quite a few players getting the job done of late, but Lucic has recorded three of the seven highest fantasy-point totals for his team since making his debut in Round 5. The Russian team also has a number of players rolling at the moment, but most of them are at risk of ceding some opportunities to teammates working back from extended absences. As such, the safest option for CSKA in Round 12 remains Will Clyburn. He's not pouring in points like he was when his squad was short-handed, but he is still leading his team in scoring. He has also shot the second-most free throws in the league, which bodes well against a team allowing allowing its opponents to get to the charity stripe more frequently than anyone else. That's not all, as at $9,400, Clyburn is returning some of the most average value on the board.

DFS Darlings: With CSKA back at full strength, it will be tough predicting exactly which players will come through. However, you could certainly gamble that Nikola Milutinov and Marius Grigonis will, as both check in at a meager $7,100 on DraftKings, and 3x value is well within reach if they hit the 20-minute mark. It will also be a bit tough to peg how things will shake out for the German squad, as they have mainly been playing seven players who are all producing at around the same level. The Russian team has been most vulnerable against centers, so we'll start with forward Augustine Rubit, who has been starting at the five spot, and also include Bayern's only true center, Othello Hunter.

Anadolu Efes Istanbul at Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul

Status Check: James Anderson (EFS), Dogus Balbay (EFS), Dyshawn Pierre (FBB), Danilo Barthel (FBB), Sehmus Hazer (FBB)

Best Bets for Success: The first matchup between the Turkish titans will occur in Round 12, with the defending champions hitting the road to take on a Fenerbahce team in desperate need of a win. With Shane Larkin heating up again, both he and Vasilije Micic land here for this contest. However, with Fenerbahce faring well against opposing guards and Rodrigue Beaubois outperforming both his teammates last week, it will be tough for both of them to return significant value Thursday. Jan Vesely remains the most consistent producer for Fenerbahce, having topped the 20-point mark on DraftKings in six straight Rounds. Efes is doing a good job against opposing big men, but Vesely has a history of coming through against them, having averaged 15.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists over his last five matchups with Efes in EuroLeague play.

DFS Darlings: In addition to the success they have been having against guards, Fenerbahce is also doing a good job shutting down opposing centers. However, they rank last against opposing forwards in four counting stats and bottom-5 in two others, so Adrien Moerman and Chris Singleton will have about as appealing a matchup as you can get, and Krunoslav Simon -- who starts at the small forward spot -- could also benefit. Fenerbahce's deep roster limits the appeal of most of their players, but like their counterparts, Efes has also been pretty friendly to opposing forwards. The home team does not play many players listed at the forward positions and at least a couple of them will be unavailable, so Marko Guduric and Achille Polonara should continue seeing action at those spots, and neither runs more than $7,500 on DraftKings.

Real Madrid at Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz

Status Check: Anthony Randolph (RMB), Trey Thompkins (RMB), Carlos Alocen (RMB), Jeffery Taylor (RMB), Alec Peters (BKN), Matt Costello (BKN)

Best Bets for Success: In the second matchup of the day featuring teams from the same country, a streaking Real Madrid squad heads north to take on a Baskonia club playing its third EuroLeague game since changing coaches. Not much changed rotation-wise, but Baskonia played well twice last week after being blown out in four straight Rounds. The main reason for that was Steven Enoch, who has arguably been the best player in the league since Round 9, averaging 19.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks over three games. He will of course by challenged by Real Madrid's imposing big man Edy Tavares, but on the whole, Madrid has been pretty neutral against opposing centers. That won't be the only mention Tavares gets in this section, as he remains one of the safest options on the entire board. Tavares hit the 30-point mark on DraftKings three times over the last five Rounds and has done so six times this season. Guerschon Yabusele also slots in here again, as although he was a bit quiet his last time out, Baskonia ranks bottom-5 against forwards in just about every counting stat.

DFS Darlings: Real Madrid has been stout against players at the forward spots, but at just $8,700, Rokas Giedraitis is worth considering on DraftKings. Jayson Granger is also worth considering on the Baskonia side, as they will need their guards to get involved and he checks in at just $7,800. The return of Nigel Williams-Goss adds another player to Madrid's already-deep rotation, but it's unlikely that will affect Vincent Poirier, who has found his niche behind Tavares and Yabusele. Poirier put up at least 21.8 points on DraftKings five times in the last eight Rounds.

Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv at ALBA Berlin

Status Check: Mathias Lessort (MTA), Jake Cohen (MTA)

Best Bets for Success: All kinds of intriguing frontcourt players will take part in this game, but the best option in this one will be a guard, as Scottie Wilbekin will face off against an ALBA defense allowing the most points, rebounds, assists and three-pointers to opposing guards. If that's not enough, they are also allowing guards to make shots both inside the arc and outside it at a higher clip than anyone else. Wilbekin was limited to a single digit in the scoring column three times over the last four Rounds, but he also scored a career-high 37 points in the other contest. The top pick for the home team remains Luke Sikma, who is averaging the most fantasy points on the entire board. It should be noted that he has slowed some, though, averaging 9.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists over the last five Rounds after putting up 12.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest over Rounds 1-6. The good news is Sikma is down to $9,700 on DraftKings, which is the cheapest he has been since Round 1.

DFS Darlings: Given the German team's issues with guards, Keenan Evans and Kameron Taylor are both worthy of consideration. It would be nice if Evans checked in a bit lower than his season-high rate on DraftKings, but the matchup is as good as it gets. ALBA has been stout against forwards, but not so much against centers, which makes Ante Zizic -- one of the most efficient players in the league -- a good value at $8,800 and Jalen Reynolds the same at a season-low $7,600. Cheers to you if you saw the Christ Koumadje double-double coming in Round 11. ALBA's big man is interesting at $5,700, but it seems just as likely he plays a bit role as opposed to a prominent one again.

Zenit Saint Petersburg at Panathinaikos OPAP Athens

Status Check: Shabazz Napier (ZEN), Dmitry Kulagin (ZEN), Yogi Ferrell (PAO), Jehyve Floyd (PAO)

Best Bets for Success: The visiting team will be led by former Panathinaikos coach Xavi Pascual on the sidelines, but they will be led by Jordan Loyd on the court. Loyd is the priciest player on Thursday's slate, and for good reason, having recorded 82.0 DraftKings points over the last two Rounds. Despite playing for other teams, Loyd has shined in Athens, dropping 27 points in each of his two appearances on Panathinaikos' court. That could come in handy, as the place figures to be rocking Thursday after the home team knocked off Olympiacos on the road in Greek league game earlier this week. The best player in that game was Nemanja Nedovic, but Panathinaikos' steadiest player all season has been Daryl Macon, who recorded his sixth game with at least 24.3 DraftKings points in Round 11. Only two other Panathinaikos players reached that mark even once over the last four Rounds.

DFS Darlings: It's been an up-and-down season for Nedovic, but he put up 24 points in 20 minutes Monday, so he should be on the upper end for this one. He carries plenty of appeal on DraftKings at just $6,600. Ioannis Papapetrou also appears to be in top form, and he checks in at an affordable $8,600. There have been rumors that Ferrell and Floyd could be parting ways, which wouldn't open up many opportunities but at least take a couple options out of the equation. The Greek squad has been allowing opposing centers to get plenty involved, so both Jordan Mickey and Arturas Gudaitis will have a shot to reach the 20-point mark on DraftKings for a third straight Round.
