Khulna Titans vs. Sylhet Sixers: 28th Match Preview

Khulna Titans are ready to face Sylhet Sixers in the match 28 of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) in Dhaka on Wednesday. Both teams are more or less out of the tournament but it is Sixers who still have an outside chance, therefore the game will be of greater significance for them as compared to Titans. This will be the first time when both teams are meeting each other in the competition this year, whereas the return fixture will be played on Saturday.

In the previous matches, Sixers registered a four-wicket defeat against Rangpur Riders in Sylhet on Saturday. For the match on Wednesday, the team will go in with new captain Sohail Tanvir, who will replace injured David Warner, who has now back in Australia for surgery on his elbow. In the batting department, Sixers will be relying on in-form Nicholas Pooran and Sabbir Rahman to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of in-form Taskin Ahmed and captain Tanvir.

On the other hand, Titans will come into the match knowing they will have to put a much better performance than they did in their previous match against Rangpur Riders. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of in-form Junaid Siddique and captain Mahmudullah to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of in-form pacer Junaid Khan and Lasith Malinga to provide timely breakthroughs.

Key Players:

Sabbir Rahman – 9 Cr

First in the list of key players features Sylhet Sixers' Sabbir Rahman. The right-handed batsman is having a poor tournament according to his own standards where he has only managed to score 141 runs in seven outings. However, in the team's previous match, Rahman played a blinder of a knock and scored 85 off just 51 balls, which shows he is back in form and can prove to be a valuable asset for your team. The 27-year-old has played in 133 T20s in his career, where he has scored 2,759 runs at an average of 26.52, which included one century and 13 fifties.

Junaid Khan – 9 Cr

Second in the list of key players features Khulna Titans' Junaid Khan. The left-arm pacer is the franchise's leading wicket-taker in the tournament with nine scalps in four outings, which shows why he should be in your team for the match on Wednesday. The 29-year-old has played in 126 T20s in his career, where he has 154 wickets to his name at an average of 21.26 and strike-rate of 17.9.

Taskin Ahmed – 9 Cr

Last in the list of key players features Sylhet Sixers' Taskin Ahmed. The right-arm pacer has not played for Bangladesh in quite some time and was on a mission to remind the selectors that he is still very much capable of representing the national team. That is exactly what Ahmed managed to achieve as he has claimed 14 wickets in just seven outings and is Sixers' leading wicket-taker in the competition. Those numbers suggest that Ahmed, who is valued at 9 Cr, is the player to have in your team. The 23-year-old has played in 59 T20s in his career, where he has 67 wickets to his name.
