England vs. West Indies: Second T20I Preview

West Indies and England will clash in the second T20I of the three-match series at the Warner Park in St Kitts on Friday. The visitors are leading the series with a 1-0 margin after securing a six-wicket win in the first T20I in Gros Islet on Tuesday. Warner Park will be hosting its seventh T20 International on Friday. Traditionally, the venue offers a lot of assistance for the bowlers, therefore till now, not a single score in excess of 150 has been scored at the Warner Park in a 20-over contest.

Therefore, the Eoin Morgan-led unit will enter the second T20I with full of confidence as they will be looking to win their first silverware on the tour. In the batting department, the team will be relying on the likes of captain Morgan, wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler and in-form Jonny Bairstow to score bulk of the runs, whereas in the bowling department, pacers Tom Curran, Liam Plunkett, Chris Jordan and leg-spinner Adil Rashid will have the responsibility of providing timely breakthroughs.

On the other hand, West Indies will be hoping to put a much better show than they did in the first T20I as they will look to stay alive in the series. In the batting department, the home side will be relying on the likes of in-form veteran opener Chris Gayle and young left-hander duo of Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran to score bulk of the runs, whereas on the bowling front, the onus will be on

Key Players:

Adil Rashid – 9 Cr

First in the list of key players features England's Adil Rashid. The right-arm leggie has had a more than decent time in the limited overs on the tour and troubled the home team's batting lineup on more than one occasion. In the first T20I, Rashid was once again hard to get away as he finished the match as the most economical bowler with figures of one for 15. That performance was a reminder of Rashid's quality as a leg-spinner and therefore, having him in your team for the second T20I might not prove to be a bad call. The 31-year-old has represented England in 34 matches in the 20-over format, where he has claimed 32 wickets.

Chris Gayle – 10.5 Cr

Second in the list of key players features West Indies' Chris Gayle. The veteran opener is in the form of his life as he bagged the player of the series award in the recently concluded ODI series. Even though Gayle failed in the first T20I where he managed to score just 15 runs, his track in the shortest format of the game is too good to ignore, and therefore, he is definitely the player to be in your team.

Sheldon Cottrell – 9 Cr

Last in the list of key players features West Indies' Sheldon Cottrell. The left-arm pacer is in a reasonably good form off late with the ball in hand and had an impressive outing in the series opener as well, where he was the most successful bowler for the home side. With the match to be played at the venue which traditionally favours pacers, Cottrell might prove to be a really good pick for your team.
