The 2019 season of the Big Bash League (BBL) is set to begin on December 17 with the match between Brisbane Heat and Sydney Thunders. Melbourne Renegades will be defending their title this time around under the leadership of opening batsman Aaron Finch.

Marcus Stoinis (Melbourne Stars):
Marcus Stoinis is now an established player in the white-ball format. The 30-year-old had an exceptional tournament for the Melbourne Stars in the 2018-19 season where he ended as the highest run-getter with 533 runs in 13 innings at an average of 53.30 along with the strike-rate of 130.63, which included four half-centuries. Stoinis has played 97 T20s in his career, scoring 1,725 runs and also has 61 wickets to his name.
Ashton Turner (Perth Scorchers):
Ashton Turner had a really good 2018-19 season for the Perth Scorchers where he ended as the highest run-getter for the franchise after managing to score 378 runs in 14 innings at an average of 31.50 along with a strike-rate of 132.63, which included three half-centuries.
Moises Henriques (Sydney Sixers):
Moises Henriques is an established all-rounder in white-ball cricket. The 32-year-old has been associated with the Sydney Sixers since the first edition and has represented the franchise in 74 matches, scoring 1,564 runs at an average of 27.92 and also has 26 wickets to his name. In the previous campaign, Henriques scored 289 runs in 13 innings at an average of 26.27 along with a strike-rate of 128.44 and claimed a solitary wicket with the ball in hand.
Alex Hales (Sydney Thunders):
Alex Hales is an established white-ball cricketer, playing 235 T20s in his career where he has managed to score 6,341 runs at an average of 29.08 along with the strike-rate of 141.95, which included three centuries and 40 half-centuries.
