2025 Fantasy Outlook
This summer, the Celtics drafted Gonzalez with the 28th overall pick. The 19-year-old spent the 2024-25 season with Real Madrid and had trouble receiving consistent playing time on what was a veteran-laden squad. The 6-foot-6 slashing Spaniard is an athletic wing with the potential to also play point guard. He's joining Boston at the right time. After multiple all-in seasons, the Celtics need to treat 2025-26 as a bridge season towards 2026-27 and the return of injured star Jayson Tatum (Achilles). That means they need to develop talent, escape the second apron and maintain roster flexibility. With the departure of both Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, plus the absence of Tatum, there are plenty of available minutes in Boston. If the C's are serious about their plans to develop Gonzalez, they would be wise to let him play more than the 10 minutes per contest he received with Real Madrid. Unfortunately, much of that playing time may occur with the Maine Celtics of the G League. We'll see. Read Past Outlooks
Set for plenty of reps this summer
Gonzalez plans to play both FIBA qualifiers for Spain and in the Summer League for the Celtics, per Bobby Manning of Celtics on CLNS.
ANALYSIS
Gonzalez appears to be staying active this summer in preparation for his second NBA season in the fall. With Jaylen Brown's standing in Boston very much in limbo this offseason, Gonzalez could be thrust into a more significant role in 2026-27 if Brown is indeed traded away.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Wasn't on table in Giannis talks
Gonzalez was a player the Celtics refused to include in a package for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Bucks insisted on getting a young player such as Gonzalez or Baylor Scheierman along with Jaylen Brown in any deal with Boston, and when the Celtics wouldn't budge, Milwaukee ultimately dealt Antetokounmpo to Miami. It's a strong vote of confidence in Gonzalez, the 28th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and the 20-year-old forward seems likely to take on a bigger role in his second season after Brown was subsequently traded to the 76ers for Paul George.
