Alex Barutha: Steven Adams over 9.5 points (-108) vs. Pacers -- FanDuel, 1:13 PM CT
This number doesn't look great based on Adams' recent performances -- 6.3 PPG over the past seven. Though, with such a low number, it doesn't take a lot to clear it. Regardless, the interesting part of this to me is looking at the matchup between Adams and Domantas Sabonis historically. The two former teammates have gone against each other seven times, with Adams outscoring -- yes, outscoring -- Sabonis in those games. Adams is averaging 17.4 PPG against Sabonis, and I think the Pelicans will need to deploy Adams as much as possible to contain Sabonis. If you're feeling that bet and want to take it up a notch, FanDuel also offers +900 odds on Adams to score at least 15 points and the Pelicans to win.
Joe Bartel: Deandre Ayton under 15.5 points (-121) - (DraftKings Sportsbook 9:14 AM CT)
The under narrowly missed Thursday, but I'm back and ready to try it again with Ayton. Other than Andre Drummond, who took a season-high 24 shots in what clearly looked like revenge-game fodder last week, the Pistons have held opposing centers under double digits in each of the past five games. It's not exactly a cut-and-dry scenario -- after all both James Wiseman and Tony Bradley went over that figure coming off the bench in that same stretch -- but I think the likely slow pace will simply limit Ayton's opportunities and the points O/U is already 1.3 points above his season average.
