DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

The final week of the NBA season may be one of the most bizarre periods in sports, and it's easily the year's most volatile fantasy week. With injury and load management designations sweeping the league, numerous players have seen their prices skyrocket -- and rightfully so.

Let's dive into Tuesday's slate and decide which roster situations to take advantage of.

Guards

Delon Wright, MEM at DET ($7,100): Wright has been leaned on heavily with Memphis out of playoff contention and he's shown just how good he can be. Back-to-back triple-doubles demonstrate just how much upside he has, and with Mike Conley out again Tuesday, Wright will have another chance to play close to 40 minutes. He saw 42 minutes of action Sunday against Dallas after playing 39 minutes Friday.

Dwyane Wade, MIA vs. MIA ($6,700): This is probably the chalkiest play on the board but it's tough to fade Wade in his final home game. Narrative plays are always dangerous, but Wade comes into this matchup rolling , averaging 34 DK points per game across his last eight outings. The Heat need to win to stay in the playoff race, and Wade should again be looking at a slight bump in minutes with Josh Richardson sidelined.

Terry Rozier, BOS at WSH ($5,200): With half of the Celtics' roster, including Kyrie Irving, sitting out, Rozier becomes one of the best value plays on the board. Dating back to last season, Rozier is averaging 32 DK points per game when starting at point guard. That alone is north of 6X value, and he should have no problem exploiting this matchup. Washington currently ranks 29th in points allowed, 27th in defensive efficiency and ninth in total pace.

Note that Irving is joining Al Horford, Jayson Tatum, Gordon Hayward, Marcus Morris, Aron Baynes and Marcus Smart on the sidelines, so there will be a ton of value with this team. Players like Semi Ojeleye, Robert Williams, Daniel Theis, Brad Wanamaker and Guerschon Yabusele could all be in consideration.

Forwards

Jimmy Butler, PHI at MIA ($7,200):  In 11 games without Embiid, Butler is averaging more than 40 DK points per game. That should be no surprise when you consider the fact that he leads the team with a 27 percent usage rate with Embiid sidelined, while averaging 1.2 DK points per minute. The price is hard to overlook, as well, considering Butler was at $7,900 just a few weeks ago.

Josh Jackson, PHX at DAL ($6,700): The common theme in this article is players filling in for injured studs and we have yet another one here. Jackson is seemingly the only Phoenix player left, as they'll be without Devin Booker, Tyler Johnson, Kelly Oubre, T.J. Warren and Deandre Ayton. With those guys off the floor, Jackson leads the team with a 28.3 percent usage rate while averaging 1.1 DK points per minute. In the last 14 games without Booker, Jackson is averaging 34 DraftKings points per game, if you needed any more incentive.  Dallas is a matchup we want to exploit too, as they own a 20th OPRK against small forwards this season.

Mario Hezonja, NYK at CHI ($5,700): Hezonja has been asked to take on starting point guard duties over the Knicks final few games, and it's done wonders for his fantasy value. Hezonja is averaging 48.6 DK points per game across his last three outings, and with Emmanuel Mudiay sidelined, he's been unleashed for 37.3 minutes per contest. Unsurprisingly, Hezonja is launching 18 shots per game, while leading the team with a 28 percent usage rate. While Dennis Smith, Jr. is expected to be available, Hezonja remains a bargain at this sub-$6,000 tag.

Centers

Andre Drummond, DET vs. MEM ($9,600): Detroit is one of the only teams in the league with something to play for and that makes Drummond difficult to fade. The big man should again see heavy minutes, and Memphis will be without Jonas Valanciunas, Joakim Noah and Jaren Jackson Jr, so it'll be Ivan Rabb and Tyler Zeller attempting to slow Drummond down. His production speaks for itself, as he's scored at least 53 DK points in five of his last six games.

Boban Marjanovic, PHI at MIA ($3,900): With Embiid missing this game and Jonah Bolden questionable, that should (hopefully) guarantee Marjanovic at least 20 minutes of action. That may be all we need, considering Marjanovic is averaging about 1.4 DK points per minute this season. Prorated, that means we're looking at roughly 25 DraftKings points in the event he sees 20 minutes of action, which would be north of 6X value at this dirt-cheap price tag.
