2025 Fantasy Outlook
Christie was excellent throughout the 2024/25 campaign, starting almost every match he was fit for while adding five goal contributions. There was some concern that Tyler Adams would eat into his minutes, but Christie was an unquestioned starter, at least until a groin injury ended his season early. The injury isn't expected to change his starting gig for 2025/26, though if Adams and Alex Scott can remain healthy, there's a chance the consistent minutes evaporate. Christie isn't a major offensive threat, but in the right situation with set pieces, he can always impress on the score sheet.
Makes first World Cup start
Christie had one shot (zero on goal) in Friday's 1-0 loss versus Morocco.
ANALYSIS
Christie, who came off the bench in Scotland's opening match, joined the starting XI Friday, stepping in for his Bournemouth teammate Ben Gannon-Doak. He put in solid work on the defensive end, recording two interceptions, one tackle, one clearance and one blocked shot as his side only allowed two shots on target throughout the entire match. He also took one shot on the attack, but it didn't challenge Bono in goal. He was subbed off in the 71st minute for Kenny McLean. It's unclear if he will start again Wednesday versus Brazil in the final group stage match, but it wouldn't be surprising if the team lined up in a similar way versus another very difficult opponent.
