Jeremie Frimpong

2025 Fantasy Outlook
Frimpong joined Liverpool after another brilliant campaign in the Bundesliga where he compiled 10 goal contributions. He's shown even more upside in the past with 16 goal contributions during Leverkusen's invincible Bundesliga win. On paper, Frimpong is a replacement for the departing Trent Alexander-Arnold, but reports from the team have pointed towards him as a more flexible option. He will take minutes at right-back, though he also seems set to provide depth for Mohamed Salah on the right wing. Frimpong is a uniquely positioned defender as he prefers to play as an out-and-out winger, which gives him excellent upside, but also with Conor Bradley in the squad, starts don't seem guaranteed.
Resumes starting role
M/DLiverpool
March 26, 2026
Frimpong has started the past three games after building fitness following an injury.
ANALYSIS
Frimpong is back in his regular role after a slight hiatus due to injury, with the defender having started in the past three games. However, he has still been limited, coming off around the 60-minute mark in each contest. He will likely remain in his role as the club tries to finish the season strong, as his competition at right-back, Conor Bradley (knee), is out for the season.

Reds inching closer to deal?
M/DBayer Leverkusen
May 15, 2025
Liverpool are inching closer to completing a deal for Frimpong, according to Sami Mokbel of the BBC.
ANALYSIS
The Reds are interested in signing a new right-back to cover the void left by Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Frimpong is the top option for Arne Slot. Frimpong is keen on the move as well, and since Liverpool have enough cash to pay the release clause, it seems it'll be a matter of details before the deal gets done.
