ANALYSIS
Moises had been with the UFC since 2018, amassing an even 8-8 record with four stoppages across his 16 career fights. The 31-year-old was 1-3 in his last four bouts, most recently dropping a split decision to Gauge Young in April.

Takes second straight loss
LightweightUFC
April 19, 2026
Moises lost to Gauge Young via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night 273 on Saturday in Winnipeg.
ANALYSIS
The judges must have decided that Moises could have a scorecard as a treat, as he was largely dominated in rounds two and three after securing the first frame with grappling control time. The Brazilian fighter has a punishing top game, but ran out of ideas when he couldn't secure takedowns late, resulting in him attempting to brawl. Moises has now dropped two bouts in a row after being viciously knocked out by Jared Gordon in May, and he is dangerously close to losing relevance as a contender at lightweight. Moises fell to 19-10-0 in professional MMA due to the loss.
Booked for UFC Winnipeg

March 16, 2026
Moises will take on Gauge Young at UFC Winnipeg on April 18, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Moises is coming off a brutal showing in which he was toppled in less than two minutes via KO (punches) at the hands of Jared Gordon. That dropped his record to 8-7 in the UFC, and he'll look to get back in the win column against a much less-experienced fighter in Young, who sits at 1-1 in the promotion and is coming off his first career win.
Brutally finished in Vegas
LightweightUFC
May 17, 2025
Moises lost to Jared Gordon via KO (punches) at 3:37 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
The biggest flaw in Moises' defensive arsenal is a lack of durability. That said, no one expected him to be finished in brutal fashion by a 36-year-old opponent in a pick 'em fight. Thiago was never able to get out of the starting block. He gave up an early takedown and some control time before working his way back to his feet. It was at that point he ate a right hand which finished him on the spot. Moises has alternated losses and wins in his past six fights dating back to January 2023, so his roster spot ins't in jeopardy, but he has the look of a .500 fighter, or worse, moving forward.

Moises will fight Jared Gordon at UFC Vegas 106 on May 17, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Moises has booked his next fight, this time against Jared Gordon. He is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Trey Ogden in January. Moises has a two-inch reach advantage on Gordon and Gordon has not won a fight since November of 2023.
Gets right back in win column
LightweightUFC
January 11, 2025
Moises defeated Trey Ogden via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Moises wasn't the least bit competitive his last time out, a unanimous decision defeat to L'udovit Klein last June, so it was nice to see him rebound against Ogden. Moises started slowly, but he made a point of damaging his opponent with low kicks. That paid dividends later, as one big shot dropped Ogden to the mat in Round 2. Moises then caught a lucky break in Round 3 after Ogden landed a takedown, only to lose position and end up on his back. The Brazilian took full advantage of the dominant position to earn the win. Set to turn 30 years of age in late-March, Moises has alternated wins and losses in his last five fights dating back to January 2023.
